Key responsibilities

Customer Management

  • Customer visits and support as needed for the key account manager for their customer visits.
  • Assist the customer team/(key) account managers with annual deal preparations and the realization and monitoring of the optimal plan (including the agreed arrangements) for your customer(s).
  • Gather and provide information to/from various internal departments and collaborate strongly with these departments to serve the customer as well as possible (marketing, pricing, supply chain, deliver to customer, forecast excellence, CD Finance, Category Management).

Product Introductions and Promotional Activities

  • Prepare communication to the customer.
  • Ensure alignment with various internally involved parties/departments (marketing, planning, category team, logistics) and the customer.
  • Provide input regarding expected introduction weeks and distribution for marketing, production plans, and controlling.
  • Contribute to the optimal assortment/portfolio and optimal distribution.
  • Make proposals regarding promotion policy and activities, and discuss promotion evaluations with the customer.
  • Provide input to monitor promotions on timing, price, etc., between accounts.

In this versatile role, you will be responsible for contributing to Unilever's sales objectives within the Albert Heijn Home Care CBD team. Your tasks will involve customer management, product introductions, promotional activities, and results analysis. You will be responsible for one or more customers or a part of the portfolio within a specific customer team. You will ensure that you and your colleagues in the customer team achieve the optimal result for Unilever and the customer.

You will report to the sales manager who leads the customer team. Where necessary, you will support the key account managers and/or sales manager to perform optimally as a team and achieve ambitious sales targets together. To achieve good results, you will maintain frequent contact with colleagues in the Customer Development, Marketing, Finance, Supply Chain, and Integrated Operations departments. It is a job with a lot of interaction, both internally and externally.

Because you will be dealing with so many stakeholders in this role, we are looking for someone who is very socially skilled, without losing sight of commercial interests. With your excellent negotiation skills, you always manage to achieve a win-win situation that strengthens (long-term) relationships with customers and colleagues. Sometimes you need to be flexible, and other times assertive, but both qualities are important. Naturally, we are looking for someone with a strong drive and winning mentality, which fits our ambitious Sales organization. In your work, you know how to collaborate well, but also proactively and independently take on tasks.

Experiences & qualifications

  • Candidates with (sales) experience at Retail level (preferably in an FMCG environment) have an advantage.
  • You possess good negotiation skills.
  • You are a team player who can also work independently.
  • You demonstrate entrepreneurial behavior in your work.
  • You have excellent social and communication skills.
  • You are enthusiastic and willing to develop yourself.
  • You are energetic and take many initiatives to achieve challenging objectives.
  • Very good command of both Dutch and English, both spoken and written.
