At AIHR we're looking for a Senior Product Manager to join our team.

About the job

Are you a customer-centric product manager with a passion for building products that drive user engagement and business impact? Are you excited to build personalized learning journeys using AI? We're looking for a Senior Product Manager to join our Member Squad. In this role, you’ll roll up your sleeves to build an unforgettable experience for our HR professional learners, all while keeping an eye on the product vision and strategy.

About AIHR

Founded in 2016 with the mission to future-proof HR, the Academy to Innovate HR (AIHR) has become the world’s market leader in online training for human resources (HR) professionals. We have a global customer base spread across 140+ countries, including companies like Unilever, Reckitt, Goldman Sachs, Philips, Deloitte, Nike, Heineken, and UBS. Our goal is to continuously upskill and empower 1,000,000 HR Professionals.

We are an international team of 100+ people, driven by excellence, innovation, and a hunger to grow in everything we do. With over 30 nationalities, our team is diverse, yet we all share a few traits: we're friendly, enthusiastic, and great team players. As a fast-growing company, working at AIHR means taking on a lot of responsibility and getting countless opportunities to develop yourself in new areas, with the potential to craft your own role.

Role and responsibilities

AIHR’s Product department is made up of three teams: Product Management, Engineering, and Content. Our Content team creates courses and resources that help HR professionals grow in their careers, while our Product and Engineering teams work together in squads to develop features on our Learning Management Platform (LMS), where all of our courses and content live. We have two tech squads: a Member Squad that focuses on the learner experience and a B2B Squad that focuses on the non-learner experience.

As the Senior Product Manager of the Member Squad, your main goal is to deliver value to our learners. You will shape the product strategy, own the roadmap, use data and research to identify new opportunities, and drive key initiatives that boost member engagement and satisfaction.

This role requires a unique blend of skills. You will collaborate with leadership to prioritize the right things that balance business objectives with customer needs. At the same time, you will translate those business needs into technical requirements with your squad. You will work with the Engineering team to find solutions that balance speed, technical feasibility, and impact while supporting their day-to-day operations.

You'll be expected to bring customer empathy to your squad and advocate for product decisions that balance short-term execution with long-term strategy. You'll also drive cross-functional collaboration and alignment with Engineering, Content, UX, Sales, Marketing, Customer Experience, and our leadership team. We'll look to you to continuously monitor key metrics, sharing results and insights to inform decisions across the entire company.

On a typical week

On a typical Monday morning, you start the day by preparing for the daily standup with the Member Squad. During the standup, the Engineering Lead raises concerns about the sprint timeline with the risk of falling behind. Given your knowledge of the business priorities and the impact of delays, you schedule a follow-up conversation to better understand the blockers and help your squad get back on track. In the afternoon, you meet with Isa, Head of Content, to understand a new content format they are developing to help HR professionals learn how to use AI in their day-to-day. You assess what support they need on our LMS to upload this content. You spend the rest of the day doing competitive research using Gemini and drawing a draft solution with Loveable to share during Wednesday’s Sprint Refinement.

On Tuesday, you meet with Joanne, Product Marketing Manager, and Chiel, Product Designer, to come up with a research plan to investigate what members expect from personalized learning journeys. This research will become input for a design sprint with the engineers to come up with an MVP that uses AI to personalize learning for our members this quarter. After a quick lunch prepared by our chef, Rik, you meet with Ario, Data and Analytics Lead. You need data to assess how a member's onboarding experience impacts their lifetime engagement and retention, so you work together to define the right metrics to track.

Wednesday is your team day at the Rotterdam office. You start the day with a sprint refinement, where you share your mockup and get feedback from your squad. An engineer raises a question about customer needs, and you pull up findings from a recent round of interviews to help guide the discussion. This makes the meeting feel like a small victory for you! Since you joined, you have been working to get the engineers more involved in the solution design process, and this was a clear example of how your efforts are starting to pay off. You have lunch with your team and quickly catch up with Gustavo, our Head of Engineering, and Silvia, our Head of Product Management, to report on squad velocity.

On Friday afternoon, it's time for the quarterly wrap-up. The company Leadership Team shares the many achievements from the past quarter, like the Notification Center your squad worked on, followed by some drinks! Having so many bright and talented minds around you was one of your primary reasons for joining AIHR, so you particularly enjoy the great conversations during the drinks before heading home for some well-deserved downtime over the weekend.
