Strategy Director Mother & Child Care / Women's Health at Philips

Your Challenge:

As a key member of both the Mother and Child Care/Women’s Health Business Leadership Team and the Personal Health Strategy team, the Director of Strategy & Business Development Women’s Health will be a key force in setting and executing the strategic direction for Philips’ Women’s Health business, with specific emphasis on business model development, geographical expansion, transformation, and digitization.

The Mother and Child Care/Women’s Health Business Unit is a global leader in providing pre-conception, pregnancy and post-partum solutions to consumers, healthcare professionals, insurers and governments under the Philips Avent brand and Pregnancy+ App. It is part of the Philips Personal Health, which has the ambition to seamlessly connect health care professionals, Payers, Governments, and consumers. You will report to the PH Head of Strategy, with a strong dotted line to the Mother and Child Care/Women’s Health business leader.

Your role:

  • As Director Strategy & Business Development for Women’s Health you will play a pivotal role in shaping the strategic direction of the business focusing on business evolution & transformation, identifying strategic needs.
  • Leads development and quantification of business impact of long-term opportunities to win against competition, deliver best in class healthcare professional + consumer experience and create brand value.
  • Drives organic / inorganic growth agenda, translating strategy into the actions for regions, customers & partners.
  • Ensures and validates – working closely with Business and Finance, Reginal colleagues – that strategies are embedded in Strategic Plan of Record, Annual Operating Plan, Regional Marketing plans, builds openness about progress and potential roadblocks (Strategy Execution).
  • Ensures up-to-date overview of market, consumer, customer, competition, technical, application and societal development in global markets to ensure active portfolio management within Business Group to improve value.
  • Teams effectively with senior management and interacts with local stakeholders to actively build a network to stay on top of new developments and insights in global markets
  • Being a close counterpart to other Directors of Strategy within Philips Personal Health or Group Strategy and helping to execute on strategies across Philips.
  • Raising the bar across the entire MCC/WH organization, including Regions and Functions, on strategic thinking and application via leading by example, coaching and driving a principled based approach to decision making

You're the right fit if:

  • 10+ years of overall experience, preferable with 5+ years of experience with an outstanding Strategy Consulting firm (e.g. BCG, Bain, McKinsey) or in a Strategy and Business Development role at an executive level for an outstanding Consumer, Consumer Health or HealthTech organization.
  • Have in-depth knowledge of the healthcare ecosystem, and how it influences brand choice, including understanding of Mother & Child Care and Women’s Health environment, consumer landscape, retailer landscape and delivery models.
  • International business experience and in-depth experience in the Consumer or HealthTech domain
  • Experienced being part of leadership teams and proven track-record influencing, commanding and building strong working relationships that contribute to building a highly engaged and high performing team
  • Affinity for driving coordinated solutions across hardware, software, consumables and services
  • Proven track record of building significant impact both in strategy definition and strategy execution in multinational organizations
  • Prove a track record of strong portfolio management and understanding how different internal initiatives influence and impact the organization.
  • Excel in influencing senior leadership teams, and stakeholder management.
  • Agility, adaptability, strong communication, a growth mindset, and collaborative execution.
  • Willingness to travel (25%)
