Join Our Team as an IT Systems Support Engineer

Join our Amsterdam office as IT Support Engineer. You'll provide both first-level support and handle complex hardware and software troubleshooting, deliver prompt IT assistance to colleagues, and ensure the smooth operation of our systems and networks. If you're passionate about IT support and solving technical problems, we want to hear from you.

We welcome applicants who are already eligible to work in the Netherlands, including those with existing work authorization. Please note, we are unable to provide Visa sponsorship or relocation support.

Key responsibilities:

Technical Support and Troubleshooting

  • Quickly resolve user inquiries and issues through ticketing systems, chats, emails, or in person. Handle complex IT problems involving hardware, software, and networks to minimize downtime.

System Maintenance and Upgrades

  • Regularly update servers and networks to ensure optimal performance and security.

Project Management

  • Lead IT projects by planning, executing, and overseeing tasks to ensure completion on schedule and budget friendly.

User Assistance

  • Meeting Tools: Ensure audio-visual equipment is always ready. Be the go-to for Zoom and other conferencing tools.
  • Train users on new tech and systems and provide security awareness.
  • Keep a detailed log of user issues and solutions in the Jira Service Desk.

Performance Monitoring

  • Monitor system performance and recommend improvements.

Network Support

  • Support LAN, WAN, and wireless networks. Resolve connectivity issues and work with senior IT staff on complex problems.

Collaboration

  • Work with IT teams on projects and upgrades. Build strong relationships with vendors to solve technical challenges.

Compliance

  • Ensure IT practices meet industry standards and stay updated on new technologies.

Documentation

  • Keep detailed records of IT systems, processes, and incidents for knowledge sharing and decision-making.

What you bring to the table:

  • Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Technical Experience: Extensive experience in technical support or IT helpdesk roles, demonstrating a strong track record in resolving complex issues.
  • Operating Systems Proficiency: In-depth knowledge of Windows and Mac operating systems, along with expertise in common software applications.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to effectively communicate with diverse groups, with a strong focus on customer satisfaction and service excellence.
  • Technical Knowledge: Proficient in Active Directory, networking concepts, and hardware, ensuring robust system management and troubleshooting.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, coupled with strong English communication skills.
  • Work Ethic: Self-motivated and capable of thriving both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Technical Tools and Security: Familiarity with Google Workspace (GSuite), Remote Desktop Services, understanding of SAML SSO, and adherence to security best practices.
