Retail Operations Specialist
Overview
As the Retail Operations Specialist, you will support in multiple operational aspects, including support of New Store Openings (NSO), coordinating the weekly communication between HQ and the retail stores, as well as, any operational ad-hoc requirements. You will assist and drive a strong culture of learning & development into our field among other operational responsibilities.
What You'll Do
- Support the New Store Opening process and collaborate with internal and field teams to ensure timelines are delivered
- Lead the load-in and pre-retail process ahead of the store opening and provide operational support on-site both, pre-opening and post-opening
- Coordinate induction training of new employees and ensure product training and H&S regulations are followed
- Support the coordination with internal partners for timely replenishment of inventory
- Collate and provide post opening feedback to improve operational processes and increase efficiencies
- Main operations point contact for retail stores, build partnerships with our retail teams, the field team and key partners, resolving queries quickly and efficiently by providing outstanding operational support to drive sales and service
- Maintain the quality and consistency of communication between the head office and stores, ensuring consistency company standards. (e.g. updating weekly comms within Zipline, the weekly Retail Newsletter, Retail Guidelines)
- Develop new incentives throughout the year to empower and engage the retail team, while ensuring alignment with budgetary constraints.
- Assist with organizing and coordinating the logistics for the bi-annual Store Manager Conference.
- Training the store teams on new systems and processes to ensure all employees are up to date with the new implementations
- Foster a collaborative culture by seeking feedback and encouraging engagement from store teams to improve seasonal strategies.
- Create and maintain reports to monitor key performance indicators, while supporting partners with ad hoc requests, including analyzing business performance statistics and creating presentations.
What You'll Bring to the Table
- 3+ years of experience in Retail Operations or retail management, focusing on multi-store management and process optimization within the EMEA region.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Business, or Retail Management preferred.
- Project management expertise with a process-driven approach and ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and attention-to-detail skills, with effective written and verbal communication abilities to engage internal and external partners.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong ability to analyze retail KPIs to drive performance improvements, with proficiency in retail systems and communication tools; knowledge of Power BI, 'Zipline,' and 'Kronos' is a plus.
- Collaborative teammate with experience in managing vendor relationships effectively.
