Under the direct authority of the Head of the Systems, Strategic Programme Lines and Technology Department, the Safety and Security from Space Programme Office is responsible for:
The Space Systems for Safety and Security (4S) Strategic Programme Line, under the Connectivity and Secure Communications (CSC) Directorate, aims at boosting innovation and industry competitiveness in advanced secure satellite communications systems able to support most critical applications, such as air traffic management, finance, health and governmental communications. It also supports public and private national and at EU level initiatives for the development of next generation secure satellite communications systems.
Within the 4S team, strategy and business development opportunities and actions are identified, and activities and projects established, implemented and monitored.
You will support the 4S team in its actions for identifying and supporting the development of innovative and competitive system concepts and cutting-edge technology solutions and countermeasures to ensure (cyber)secure, resilient-by-design satellite communications systems capable of coping with the fast-evolving and expanding threat landscape.
In this internship, you will be involved in:
You must be a university student, preferably in your final or second-to-last year of a university course at Master’s level and you need to remain enrolled at your University for the entire duration of the internship.
The working languages of the Agency are English and French. A good knowledge of one of these is required. Knowledge of another Member State language would be an asset.
Knowledge and background in (cyber) security technologies, protocols and engineering is an asset.
