CityHub is currently looking for a Head of Commercial to set up a structure that will support the next phase of expansion.

About CityHub

CityHub is an urban lifestyle hotel brand that is reshaping the future of city stays for a new generation of travellers. We seamlessly blend cutting-edge technology, community-focused environments, and sustainable design to redefine and curate the contemporary hotel stay.

CityHub’s luxury pod-style hotels offer guests both the privacy of their own compact, modular Hub and the use of vibrant, premium shared spaces. Through a combination of innovative technology, guests enjoy the benefits of a modern, connected stay, but also have access to friendly CityHosts who provide ‘in the know’ insider hacks and knowledge so guests can enjoy the city like a local. We have hotels in Amsterdam, Rotterdam, Copenhagen and Reykjavik and we are working behind the scenes to conquer Europe.

About the role

The Head of Commercial is responsible for driving growth and revenue performance across CityHub’s four hotels in Europe. The role owns the commercial strategy, pricing, distribution, and direct revenue performance for each hotel.

CityHub is a startup in an expansion phase, transitioning into a scale-up. The company currently operates four hotels and aims to grow to ten hotels by 2029. The Head of Commercial plays a critical role in this transition by defining scalable commercial strategies, identifying growth opportunities, and setting up a commercial structure that can support the next phase of expansion.

The Head of Commercial is part of the management team and works cross-functionally to align commercial strategy with overall business objectives. As the organisation scales, this person is responsible for building and leading the commercial function. The position reports directly to the CEO.

Key responsibilities

  • Define and execute the overall commercial and growth strategy for all CityHub hotels
  • Identify revenue growth opportunities and turn them into concrete actions
  • Own pricing strategies per hotel, tailored to local markets
  • Maximise occupancy, ADR, RevPAR, and revenue mix through pricing and targeted initiatives
  • Lead revenue management across all hotels, including forecasting and monthly performance tracking

Distribution, Systems & Digital Performance

  • Optimise distribution channels, inventory, and booking conversion
  • Ensure pricing, availability, and channels are consistently aligned with demand
  • Select, implement, and own a revenue management system (RMS) and integrate it into the business
  • Drive direct booking growth through digital channels and campaigns
  • Work closely with marketing, using data and analytics to improve visibility, conversion, and efficiency

Reporting, Leadership & Collaboration

  • Produce clear monthly revenue and performance reports per hotel
  • Track and report on occupancy, ADR, RevPAR, and revenue mix
  • Present results, insights, and growth plans directly to the CEO
  • Build and scale the commercial team as the company grows
  • Work closely with operations and hotel teams to align commercial strategy with daily execution
  • Create a culture of ownership, accountability, and results

Experience & skills

  • Senior commercial experience in hospitality
  • Proven track record in driving growth and building commercial teams
  • Strong pricing, revenue management, and distribution expertise
  • Experience managing multiple hotels across different countries
  • Strong analytical skills, comfortable with forecasting and performance reporting
  • Hands-on, pragmatic, and comfortable working closely with Operations
  • Clear communicator, able to work directly with senior leadership

What is in it for you?

  • A competitive salary ranging from €60.500 to €80.000 yearly, depending on experience
  • A fun job in an international, growing company in Amsterdam
  • Bonus on Performance
  • Exclusive CityHub Hotel discount
  • Personal growth opportunities, supported by an annual budget for training initiatives

  • A cosy office with informal environment located close to Rembrandt Park
  • Complimentary on-site meals and snacks, including healthy and vegan options available each day

CityHub represents a community of young travellers based in an urban style hotel. At CityHub they interact and share their experiences with their fellow travellers and spend the night in cool, state-of-the-art sleeping units, called ‘Hubs’.

Low cost travelling and the information revolution brought about a new generation of urban travellers. These travellers are open-minded, interactive and desire value for money. They are networkers, socializers and wanderers that want to get the most out of their visit to the city. They like to experience the local culture and to get in contact with like-minded travellers.

Hotels, however, have remained surprisingly traditional and refuse to adapt to this new traveller. CityHub is the solution. This innovative hotel concept operates fully automatically and features specially designed sleeping cabins (Hubs) that provide a unique sleeping experience and enable privacy and comfort for the lowest price in the city centre. CityHub’s advanced online platform and modern facilities create an interactive community where guests make contact and share their experiences.
