Global Animal Health Manufacturing IT Boxmeer delivers IT and automation solutions to the manufacturing sites Boxmeer and De Bilt. This encompasses a wide range of manufacturing IT/automation systems and technology, including PLCs, SCADAs, historians, MES systems and supporting IT applications, all aligned to a goal of ensuring frictionless flow of data and more efficient business operations.

Purpose of the role

The Technical Analyst Automation GAHM IT will work as a member of the GAHM IT team at the Animal Health Manufacturing site. The TA will lead the modernization of core Shopfloor systems to provide better standardization and resiliency in our AH Manufacturing Sites, to drive business strategies and analytics. This includes the digitization and automation of solutions like Data Historians, Process Control and Automation systems, as well as Plant and Facilities Management solutions. This position will also support the operational integrity of the solutions, including systems life cycle methodology documents, Standard Operating Procedures, change management and data integrity.

This position will work closely with various project implementation teams that include Platform Leads, Automation Engineers and Architecture and Infrastructure teams for overall solution implementation. The candidate must also be able to function independently and have excellent communication skills while being accountable for quality of work product and on-time delivery. The position will report into the GAHM IT site leader.

Key responsibilities

  • Support, design and implement strategic, aligned and compliant solutions to support business initiatives; support the leadership vision, strategy and policy for building a high-performance engagement model with the business units; and lead small projects.
  • Build exceptional relationships with stakeholders focused on meeting business needs.
  • Ensure solutions are aligned with AHIT platforms and support the overall strategy.
  • Adopt high-quality change management practices with customers and stakeholders, implementing sustainable solutions; be a role model of our Leadership Behaviors.
  • Develop domain expertise in key Supply Chain and Manufacturing business processes, systems, and data.
  • Support standardization of data historian implementation, aligned with both the deployment of new or upgraded manufacturing assets and the retrofit of integration with existing automated assets.
  • Align with sites to implement modernization projects as part of a broader AH Resiliency program based on approved scope and timeline.
  • Apply standard systems life cycle and other IT processes/methods, practices, and techniques to deliver process integration solutions.
  • Build strong partnerships with platform groups, IT Hubs, and others in support of Resiliency and Modernization objectives.

Your profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or an IT-related field, with at least 3 years of relevant IT experience and a minimum of 2 years in the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Strong experience with Manufacturing/Supply Chain IT platforms, shopfloor systems, data historians, and integration with automation systems.
  • Knowledge of SAP ECC and OSIsoft PI.
  • Proven ability to lead small initiatives and projects, and to develop and justify business cases.
  • Experience implementing solutions in GxP-regulated environments and working with SDLC methodologies.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, in English (Dutch preferred).
  • Ability to operate effectively in a global matrix organization and collaborate with software vendors and third-party system integrators.
