Internship – HEINEKEN Business Services (HBS)

“To land Transformations is challenging and dynamic. It is a great opportunity to be part of that journey and to help operationalise the Evergreen strategy within the company across Operating Companies (OpCos) and Global Functions, from an idea to a reality in the new ways of working.”

Service Transformation Director, Heineken Business Services

The internship

The HEINEKEN Business Services (HBS) Global organisation offers internship opportunities in programme management & governance, change & communications and transformation, placing you at the heart of HEINEKEN’s transformation journey. You will support the planning and execution of business service transitions across Functions, Regions and OpCos, and contribute to delivering measurable value for the organisation. You will gain hands-on experience in shaping the HEINEKEN Business Services (HBS) organisation, collaborating with international teams, and helping the company land change effectively at scale.

What is HEINEKEN Business Services?

HBS is a centrally governed global network of service centres, delivering services and capabilities to Global Functions and Operating Companies (OpCos) globally. HBS enables teams to focus on customers, consumers and driving company growth.

What will this internship entail?

Your main responsibility will involve development of change (and communication) assets, refining approaches and templates, and planning and executing change and communication events within different workstreams.

Specific projects

  • Developing change and communications plans, integrating different milestones, inputs and requirements
  • Supporting the team in developing and refining a change toolkit and upskilling stakeholders on it
  • Organising (ADKAR/Change) surveys to measure change effectiveness

You will be working with colleagues representing Global Functions and Regions to ensure integrated, simple and tailored plans, materials and templates.

Your new team and workplace

You will join the HBS Central team, based in Amsterdam — a central team supporting markets worldwide as part of a transition toward globally connected Business Services. The environment is collaborative, international, and dynamic, with a mix of operational focus and long-term transformation work.

We need you to complement our central program team that is building HBS from the ground up by supporting on numerous different projects. The field is dynamic and the scope is large, with the goal for you to learn as much as you can and develop yourself professionally while working within HEINEKEN Business Services.

Throughout your internship, you'll have opportunities to engage with colleagues across HBS disciplines and contribute ideas to strengthen how we work and operate as a global network. During your internship, you’ll have opportunities to get to know HEINEKEN as an organisation across departments. HEINEKEN trusts and empowers you to work with an entrepreneurial and pioneering mindset, and you will receive guidance that suits you.

The unique you!

HEINEKEN believes everyone has unique talents. Energy, drive and the ambition to grow are what make the difference. In addition, you:

  • Are a senior student currently enrolled in a Dutch Master (HBO/WO), related to Business or Communication studies
  • Are an exceptional team player with eagerness to learn and share knowledge
  • Have project management skills: able to manage multiple projects, prioritise, maintain an overview of the big picture, and pay close attention to detail
  • Manage relationships with stakeholders (with conflicting interests) and communicate through understanding, influencing and/or serving others
  • Have digital skills and master analytical and communication tools such as Excel, PowerBI, PowerPoint and Canva to support projects with analyses and presentations/communications to senior stakeholders

Even if you feel you don’t meet all the criteria, an internship is an opportunity to learn and grow.
