Customer Care Specialist - Sea Logistics Key Account

For our office in the vibrant heart of Rotterdam, we are looking for a dedicated Customer Care Specialist to join our Sea Logistics Export team. In this role, you will take ownership of your own customer portfolio, including strategic key accounts, and act as the main point of contact for all customer needs. Your mission is to ensure exceptional service quality, strengthen relationships, and deliver solutions that drive customer satisfaction and business success.

How you create impact

• Manage daily interactions with your customers, act as their primary point of contact, and collaborate with internal stakeholders to meet service expectations
• Qualify, monitor, and delegate customer orders to the Internal Operational Care Centre, ensuring smooth execution and timely follow-up
• Proactively provide solutions for delivery issues, offer consultancy on market developments and shipping conditions, and maintain strong customer relationships
• Request prices, prepare quotations, control GP (gross profit), suggest alternative routes, and manage changes in shipping processes
• Monitor KPIs, analyze performance data, drive continuous improvement measures, and participate in QBR/MBR meetings with customers
• Onboard new customers, create clear process guidelines, and ensure a seamless transition into operational processes

What we would like you to bring

• Solid experience in a similar role in freight forwarding, ideally in sea logistics
• Strong communication skills and ability to build trusted relationships with customers and internal stakeholders
• Proactive, solution-oriented mindset with resilience in challenging situations
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Fluent in English; Dutch proficiency is a strong advantage
• Basic knowledge of MS Office and confidence in using digital tools
