As Head of Technical Design & Supply Chain, you lead a strategic function within Format & Design, ensuring Rituals’ global growth, operational excellence, and technical design integrity. This role bridges creative vision and execution, translating concepts into technically sound, scalable, and cost-efficient solutions that uphold quality and sustainability standards. You govern technical standards, supplier collaboration, inventory oversight, and risk controls to secure continuity of supply and compliance across global markets. Additionally, you oversee PMO governance and process optimization to enable strategic initiatives and future scalability. Planning horizon: 1–3 years.

The Head of Technical Design & Supply Chain has a strategic and organization-wide impact, shaping the operational backbone that enables Rituals’ global store development and expansion. This role ensures the brand’s creative vision is converted into robust, scalable, and cost-efficient solutions that uphold quality and sustainability standards. You will directly shape global supply chain policy and technical standards.

Your Accountabilities:

  • Bridge Creative & Execution: Align design, procurement, and supplier teams to deliver standardized, cost-effective store solutions globally, ensuring innovative concepts are brought to life with both practicality and scale.
  • Furniture & Fixture Strategy: Oversee the technical feasibility, sustainability, and modularization of furniture and fixtures, reducing complexity and driving global consistency in store development.
  • Supplier & Inventory Leadership: Build strategic partnerships, mitigate risks, and ensure supplier stock visibility to guarantee seamless and timely project delivery.
  • Compliance & Governance: Champion global compliance standards and lead the Project Management Office for governance, portfolio management, and process excellence.
  • Strategic Decision Support: Provide crucial insights on cost, risk, and lead times, helping to shape multi-year strategies for materials and supplier capability development.

Your Impact

Lead and manage a global supply, purchasing, and inventory system to support growth and consistency. You standardize processes and automate systems to cut errors and inefficiencies. Maintain supplier transparency, enforce quality standards, and ensure timely deliveries. You foster supplier partnerships, drive innovation, and control costs. Serving as the key link between design, procurement, technical teams, and suppliers you ensure smooth operations. Furthermore, implement scalable systems, dual sourcing, and digital tools to boost resilience and support future expansion.

Shaping Decisions & Strategy

Your role directly shapes department and company strategy, influencing supply chain design, cost control, and scalability. Provide essential input for executive decisions on sourcing, budgeting, and expansion. Set policies for supplier management, inventory, and technical design to achieve organizational excellence.

Your team

Join our vibrant team where your contributions will have a lasting impact. You will directly manage 4-8 employees (mix of managers and specialists) and indirectly oversee 20+ external suppliers and partners. Think of technical design, supplier relations, inventory management, and process optimization across multiple business units.

Bring all of you

  • Master’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or equivalent experience
  • 10+ years in senior leadership roles within supply chain, purchasing, technical design, and inventory management; proven success managing €5–10M budgets and delivering cost efficiencies.
  • Your expertise includes:
    • End-to-end supply chain, purchasing strategies, and inventory/stock control
    • Technical design for furniture and store development.
    • Supplier negotiations, global sourcing, and contract management.
    • ERP systems and automation tools for supply chain and inventory.
    • Strong ability to lead teams, drive change, and influence at executive level.
    • Fluent in English and willingness to travel internationally. Current residency in Netherlands required.
