You & Your Role

Contribute to the future of Wholesale & Rural within Rabobank. As a Business Architect, you will be responsible for translating high-level strategies into actionable solutions, requiring a mix of strategic thinking, accountability, and flexibility to adapt to shifting business needs and regulatory landscapes.

The W&R Financing Journey Tribe and Service Centre contains six areas (Data Capabilities, Acquisition & Relationships, Origination & Assessments, Core Lending & Project Finance, Value Chain & Trade Finance and Flexcube Foundation Services) where business representatives from the Chief Product Owner (CPO), IT delivery from CITO W&R Tech and architects work together to deliver financing solutions to our worldwide Wholesale & Rural clients. The new organisation is joined by the teams from the Global Service Centre, to ensure we deliver both the IT and Operation services for these solutions.

You will be a member of the Area Leadership Team (ALT) of the Value Chain & Trade Finance (VC&TF) area in the newly formed tribe. Together with the area lead and senior tech lead you steer the direction of the area in consultation with business stakeholders. This area is the primary contact to deliver solutions for the Value Chain Finance (VCF) and Trade & Commodity Finance (TCF) business lines.

The VC&TF area delivers a number of innovative solutions to our clients and business stakeholders. For example:

• Digital Working Capital (DWC) is our unique proposition where we can offer financing throughout the value chain – from supplier finance to structured inventory products – all via a digital channel and even direct integration with our clients.
• KOMGO is a multibank platform which traders (our clients) use to execute transactions. We are connecting Rabobank’s systems to this platform to achieve operational efficiency, better data quality and reporting by eliminating the traditional manual processes used within Trade & Commodity Finance.
• Given the complex and dynamic world of our business, we deliver a number of collateral and limit management solutions, which allow us as Rabobank to stay in control.

Top 3 Responsibilities

• Steering the direction of the area together with the area leadership triangle;
• Collaborating with other business and solution architects, developers, and senior management to ensure the right solutions for our stakeholders are getting designed;
• Co-responsible for directing and coaching the solution architects.

Together with over 100 business architects within the whole architecture organisation, you will work in a team together with the tribe architect and six area architects (including you) in the new tribe. On top of that you will also be responsible to steer and coach a team of solution architects within your area. Collaboration is our way of working; as one goal-oriented team within Rabobank.

You & Your Talent

• Master’s Degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience;
• At least 15 years of work experience with at least 10 years of experience in complex international organisations;
• At least 5 years of experience in enterprise architecture within a financial institution;
• Thorough experience in coaching and development of effective architecture teams;
• Experience in defining enterprise architecture way of working in a complex organisation;
• Leadership and Influence: Strong leadership qualities with the ability to influence and guide stakeholders across various teams. This includes strong story telling skills and the ability to think and challenge on multiple strategic levels.
• Conceptual Thinking: A strong conceptual thinker, capable of translating high-level strategies into practical solutions.
• You are fully proficient in English, both written and spoken.

This is what we offer you

• Salary: Gross monthly salary between EUR 6,475 and EUR 9,250 (scale 11) for a 36-hour work week.
• Extras: a thirteenth month, 8% holiday allowance, and a 10% Employee Benefit Budget.
