JOB PURPOSE

For a defined part of the HC Category portfolio:

  • Innovation implementation for the end-to-end supply chain.
  • Management of all portfolio changes i.e. innovation, renovation, reallocation, technical change and 5S projects.
  • Portfolio management and complexity reduction.
  • Interfaces between Marketing, Research & Development (R&D) and various Unilever Supply Chain functions, such as Category Procurement Operations, Product Group Quality, Innovation Managers at sourcing sites, Global SC, 3rd Party Manufacturing.

WHAT WILL YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES BE

  • Deliver projects on time in full launch with no quality issues of all innovation projects.
  • Project responsibility for the end-to-end supply chain, with key accountability to ensure all plan, source, make and deliver activities are completed on time in full.
  • Ensure all innovation implementations are planned to take into account the delivery of the key Category KPI’s (Cost/Service/Stocks/Obsoletes).
  • Adhere and enforce Unilever and Category business principles, guidelines and threshold criteria.
  • Ensure effective communication with peers & stakeholders in Marketing, Research & Development (R&D), Planning, Procurement, Quality Assurance (QA), Factories, 3rd Party Manufacturing (3PM) organisation.
  • Support Risk Assessments (Technical Risk Assessment (TRA) & Supply Chain Risk Assessment) for critical projects at each project stage.
  • Support Supply Planning team with the implementation of all other technical changes within the portfolio.
  • Responsibility for the end-to-end supply chain delivery of non-innovation changes including VIP projects, reallocation requests, regulatory changes etc.
  • Work directly with Marketing Operations (BD) on all MSO requests received from the MSO’s (innovation and renovation projects).
  • Accountability for the SC approval and implementation of all MSO requests.
  • Ownership of the Category sourcing matrices and all Category master data.
  • Responsibility for all master data code creation with the MDM Operations team as well as maintenance.
  • Responsibility and ownership for the maintenance and issuing of all sourcing matrices for innovation and non-innovation projects.
  • Support in managing the portfolio and complexity reduction initiatives.

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED

Experiences & Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science Degree, preferably in Science, Engineering or Logistics
  • Master’s degree is preferred
  • Experience in either R&D / Plan / Make / Source and understanding of the principles of the others. Experience in/proven track record in stakeholder management
  • An enthusiastic self-starter with excellent communication skills and an ability to form effective working relationships at all levels within the business and with people not co-located.
