About the Enterprise Risk Management Team

To safeguard the long-term stability of MBE and ensure its sustainable growth, ERM provides a holistic, coherent, and honest view of the Bank’s risk profile to facilitate informed decision-making by its Senior Management.

Through a risk-aware culture, effective risk framework, and strategic partnerships, we advise on risk-return trade-offs, drive business excellence, and ensure that the Bank is positioned to be the most trusted financial group against the backdrop of an ever-changing risk landscape.

ERM is organizationally part of risk management function, which reports to the Chief Risk Officer (CRO).

ERM consists of 6 coverage areas: Governance, Resilience, Integrated Risks, ESG risks, Risk Technology and Risk Affairs.

Your impact at MUFG

Join our dynamic ERM team to support with:

• Improving work efficiency by contributing to implementation of risk technology strategy, particularly in relationship to virtual risk management framework by building databases (Sharepoint) and reports (e.g. Power BI);
• Drafting/preparing internal documents/templates for regulatory self-assessment;
• Formatting and improving of internal documents and reports.

The role includes the following:

• Support formatting of internal documents (e.g. font tables, pictures, bullet points, etc.) and support implementation of collaborative tools (e.g. Teams, Tablou, etc.)
• Prepare templates for internal regulatory assessments and support assessment effort;
• Populate internal Sharepoint databases with data from internal reports;
• Support automation of internal reports using PowerBI;
• ESG data cleansing and supporting ESG model development;
• Support the ERM team in the wider team agenda.

In order to be successful in the role, you will need the following:

Essential:

• Currently enrolled as a full-time student with interest in or affinity with banking, financial services, or related field
• Fluent language skills (verbal, written) in English;
• Working knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint and Word;
• Ability to use AI tools (i.e. Microsoft Copilot) to improve work efficiency.
• Good communication, writing and presentation skills;
• Proactive self-starter, intrapreneurial, able to handle a significant and diverse workload;
• Good working habits, high attention to detail, results driven, willing to learn;
• Think independently and critically to create own views;
• Calm, structured and logical approach to work, pragmatic;
• Team player with ability to collaborate in cross-division teams and display organizational sensitivity;
• Ability to work in multicultural environment, respecting diversity.

Nice to have:

• Working knowledge of Python (Pandas, Scikit-learn, Django, Numpy;) and SQL;
• Working knowledge of Power BI;
• Working knowledge of Teams environment;
• Experience in building databases.
