JOB PURPOSE:

The Ice Cream Assistant HRBP for the Central Teams will act as a lead for end-to-end HR supporting global teams based in Amsterdam based in The Magnum Ice Cream Company Headquarters.

This person will sit at the center of the HR engine and will have strong relationships with our HRBPs, Talent Partners, People Partners, and employees. They must also be able to positively influence the employees’ experience at critical points in their career.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with stakeholders at all levels of the organisation to gain buy-in and support for proposed changes. Work with department heads and team leaders to ensure that organisational changes align with functional needs.

  • Performance Management: Support performance management processes including end of year assessment for employees.

  • Organization Development: Support business leaders and HRBPs in the implementation of their organization, for example, position management, OVHs/cost control.

  • Support Ice Cream HR Strategic People Agenda: Work with HRBPs and Leaders to create and deliver project plans for managing any change programmes and reorganisations.

  • Take a proactive approach to employee relations, reviewing data and spotting any employee relations trends, recommending solutions and coaching Line Managers to take any actions you feel are the right steps to take/ tackle problems before they grow.

  • Work side-by-side with teams across HR (HRBPs, Payroll, Reward, Global Mobility, Talent Acquisition etc), providing support and subject matter expertise to recommend appropriate actions to address queries or problems.

  • Lean into central teams People Agenda topics when needed, helping shape and drive some of the site initiatives.

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED:

SKILLS:

  • Able to connect the dots on all things HR and its impact on the wider business. Being able to step back and view the bigger picture is essential.

  • Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills, building strong relationships with trust & confidence, as well as having the ability to influence.

  • Ability to influence strategic deliverables in a matrixed organisation.

  • Ability to manage multiple requests and priorities simultaneously.

  • Experience of employee relations and case management, including knowledge of UK employment laws and regulations

  • Experience in handling sensitive matters with tact and diplomacy, you are comfortable having difficult conversations, working professionally and discreetly with sensitive information

  • A natural collaborator – you’ll work well as part of the team, there is no such thing as “not my job!” here – we have one shared purpose, to drive growth, whilst protecting Unilever from risk.
