As Virtuagym keeps on growing, we are now looking for a new face to complement our Software Engineering Team as Tech Lead Manager!

As a Tech Lead Manager with a focus on people and performance management, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping both the technical and cultural fabric of our development team. You will lead by example—mentoring a team of 10–15 engineers, driving engineering excellence, and fostering a high-performance, collaborative, and healthy work environment. You’ll be the go-to person for both technical direction and management, from performance reviews and coaching to hiring and goal-setting.

What you will be doing as Tech Lead Manager

Team Leadership & People Management

• Mentor and coach engineers to support their personal and professional growth
• Own and evolve the performance management process to meet business and individual development needs
• Collaborate with recruitment to lead hiring efforts and maintain healthy team growth
• Foster an inclusive, engaged, and productive team culture
• Handle team escalations and ensure prompt, professional resolution
• Ensure alignment of department goals with company objectives
• Partner with leadership (C-level) to shape team strategy and goals

Technical Leadership

• Serve as a hands-on technical advisor to your team—guiding architecture decisions, development standards, and best practices
• Lead by example in agile processes, code quality, and collaboration
• Translate product and technical vision into actionable plans and delivery milestones
• Ensure the effective use of DevOps and modern engineering practices
• Promote knowledge sharing and continuous learning across the engineering team

Job Requirements

What You Bring

• Previous experience leading and managing engineering teams, ideally within a SaaS or scale-up environment
• Passion for technology and an even stronger interest in organizational and people processes
• Ability to balance technical leadership with mentorship and people management
• Experience with distributed systems, cloud environments (preferably AWS), and full-stack development
• Excellent communication skills in English
• Comfortable working cross-functionally with product, business, and leadership stakeholders
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies (Scrum, DevOps lifecycle)

Bonus Points

• AWS certifications (Cloud Practitioner, Solutions Architect Associate or above)
• Experience with any of the following: PHP, Python, JS, Swift, Kotlin
• Experience with VueJS or similar frontend frameworks
• A passion for fitness, health, or wellbeing
• Previous experience managing in a remote or hybrid environment
• Experience scaling teams in a high-growth tech company
• Experience with AI tools like Cursor, Windsurf, Claude Code, etc
