All about the role

As a Corporate Legal Counsel, you’ll become part of the group Legal Corporate team. We are looking for a driven person with a broad interest to grow and learn by handling a variety of corporate matters and projects. This role will include providing pragmatic advice and support to the Director Corporate Legal and to the global JET business on various cross-functional projects. You will support on a variety of topics relating to (i) intercompany optimisation, such as restructuring and recapitalisation initiatives; (ii) external (debt/equity) financing arrangements, such as bonds, RCF and notes and (iii) strategic projects.

You will coordinate and actively cooperate with other stakeholders such as tax, treasury and finance as well as the business. In addition, you will actively cooperate with the Commercial Legal, Compliance and Privacy Teams to train and improve the business' understanding and mitigate risks for JET on key legal topics such as confidential information and competition. In addition, there will be a strong focus on building and containing knowhow within the Corporate Legal team, by drafting, streamlining and improving documents, processes and policies. This is all critical to our continued growth as a business, and maintaining JET’s reputation as a brand that customers, partners and investors trust.

These are some of the key ingredients for the role:

• You’ll provide legal support to the Director Corporate Legal and the business on a variety of corporate matters, leading intercompany, financing and strategic projects.
• You’ll be responsible for high-quality advice and documents with minimal supervision and developing in-house standards and precedents.
• You’ll ensure that corporate legal risks are managed and escalated as necessary and ensure compliance with applicable legislation.
• You’ll support and guide your colleagues in the Corporate Legal team on corporate restructuring initiatives.
• You’ll be part of a fantastic team of legal experts across multiple markets, but will also need to be comfortable working independently, applying specialised knowledge with minimal supervision and limited input from external experts.
• As a good communicator, you’re able to answer questions and present information in an easy-to-understand way. Balancing legal risk with commerciality and pragmatism is key to success.

Can you deliver?

Here are the skills and experience we need from you:

• Legal professional qualified in the Netherlands, with at least 5 years of experience in corporate law, preferably from a combination of private practice and in-house roles.
• Proven experience in drafting, reviewing, and managing corporate legal documents with precision.
• A quick learner with a "can do" attitude and a strong academic record.
• In depth knowledge of corporate law and governance frameworks; experience in banking and finance is a plus.
• Outgoing and proactive, confidence working across multiple teams and geographies.
• Excellent English written and oral communication skills and drafting skills.
