Your role in the story

As a Legal Counsel at Heerema Marine Contractors, you will provide essential legal advice and support in our leading offshore projects. You will act as a strategic partner to our business. This role is broad and in a dynamic setting, where you will be directly involved in tender processes and project execution facilitating business success.

What you will be working on

• Negotiating and drafting contracts for tenders and projects with clients, suppliers and (sub)contractors.
• Providing continuous legal support to safeguard Heerema's interests on any legal issues that arise in its commercial activities.
• Resolving disputes and managing claims to minimize risks and impact.

Is this the job for you?

Key ingredients for success

• A Law degree, with a preference for Business Law, Maritime Law, or Private International Law specialization;
• At least 6 years of relevant legal experience preferably in industries such as offshore, maritime, or construction;
• The competence to work both independently and as part of a team, effectively linking various departments towards shared objectives;
• A dedication to continuous growth, open to learning and feedback, fueled by curiosity and proactivity;
• A readiness to travel for direct engagement with projects and stakeholders;
• Well-developed organizational and time management skills;
• Excellent communication skills, fluent in English both written and spoken.
• We are looking for candidates who already work and live in The Netherlands.
