Role Responsibilities

Platform Architecture and Design:

You’ll work closely with the Principal Frontend Engineer to design and implement a micro frontend strategy, ensuring our platform’s scalability and alignment with business goals.

  • Technical Leadership: You’ll mentor and guide your team of frontend developers, fostering a culture of creativity, technical excellence, and continuous improvement.
  • Collaboration: You’ll partner with product teams to ensure the solutions your team develops meet business needs and integrate seamlessly into the broader platform.
  • Team Leadership: You will lead a cross-functional team, managing both their technical growth and their personal development. Your leadership will help attract and retain the best talent for Eneco’s vision.
  • Technical Responsibility: You’ll oversee the technical roadmap, enforce best practices, conduct peer reviews, and ensure the quality and integrity of the codebase.

Role Overview

As a Squad Lead Frontend, you’ll have a pivotal role in driving the digital transformation at Eneco. Leading a team of talented developers, you will shape and develop our digital platform, contributing directly to Eneco’s goal of becoming climate-neutral by 2035. With your expertise in frontend technologies and people management, you will ensure your team builds scalable, innovative web solutions that empower users to take charge of their energy choices. Beyond technical leadership, you’ll be instrumental in the growth and career development of your team members.

Requirements

  • Experience in leading and mentoring development teams, with a focus on frontend and micro frontend architectures.
  • A deep understanding of frontend technologies, including React, JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, CSS, Node.js, and NPM.
  • Hands-on experience in building and deploying micro frontends (e.g., Single SPA, Module Federation, Web Components) and utilizing Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines.
  • Familiarity with the Sitecore platform is a plus.
  • You’re based in the Netherlands and ready to contribute without relocation.

You’ll be working alongside a passionate and diverse group of developers, designers, and product owners who are united by a common goal: to create a digital platform that supports Eneco’s mission of sustainability. Together, you’ll push the envelope on web development in the energy sector, collaborating on architecture, code reviews, and new features. Your leadership will guide your team in creating innovative solutions that not only meet today’s needs but also help shape the future of energy.
