Position Summary

Samsung’s B2B Mobile sales organization (MX) is seeking a Business Development Manager to drive growth through the development and expansion of customer and channel relationships in appointed market segments. The role of the BDM adds value to Samsung and its customers by finding and developing new market opportunities for the Benelux market space. The Samsung BDM is responsible for driving new business through different market segments.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Development of Samsung Wallet (60% of time)Set up meeting with banks and other payment providers to discuss implementation
  • Take the lead as project manager for the implementations of the wallet solution
  • Position Samsung wallet towards the customers
  • Inform the payment providers on the complete wallet proposition
  • Coordinate, prepare and compile project documents for pre-qualifications (if applicable)
  • Develop and maintain broad and deep customer partnerships that involve building relationships at the C- level and expanding relationships
  • Set up technical solution sessions with customers
  • Inform stakeholders by organizing periodic update meetings
  • Drive new initiatives (30% of time)Develop and build up new opportunities by creating partnership with 3rd party solution providers
  • Identify and win new solutions that can help to increase coverage in the different market segments
  • Work with the rest of the Samsung B2B team (PM, channel, biddesk etc.) to offer the right solutions and help in the execution of the strategy
  • Create new propositions
  • Achieve key business goals including revenue quotas and reporting (10% of time)Manage results, progress and forecast reporting for the product category
  • Create strategic and actionable vertical plans that define a clear growth strategy
  • Monitor and report per solution
  • Research and share intelligence on customers and their respective markets with other members of the sales team and internally at Samsung
  • Coordinates demand generation activities and ensure proper allocation of sales qualified leads

Skills and Qualifications

  • Our new Business Development Manager Samsung Wallet recognize themselves in the following criteria:3-5 years successful experience in B2B technology market
  • Minimum of 3 years of sales or business development experience
  • Experience working with senior and executive level management in top 500 accounts and the ability to map a customers’ business need to technology solutions
  • Ability to develop a market entry strategy and action plan
  • Solution and product knowledge: understanding of solutions and needs
  • Market knowledge and experience: understands the vertical business drivers including key behaviors and strategies to engage
  • Vertical network at all level of the organizations from C level to IT heads
  • Strong understanding of their needs and business models and requirements
  • Knowledge of the partners active in a specific segment
  • Experience driving opportunities, managing a sales pipeline and exceeding quota within nominated market segment
  • Customer focus: demonstrates concern for meeting and exceeding needs of customers
  • Teamwork: works collaboratively with others to achieve group goals
