About Cardon & Company

We are a business immigration firm. That means we handle immigration cases with a specific focus on business. We perform company registrations, apply for visas, handle 30% ruling applications and give tailor made business and immigration advice. We only deal with foreign clients, mostly from the United States, British Commonwealth nations and the Middle East.

How we work

• Our business works with fixed processes. Each process has its milestones and targets, including company registrations, filing of IND documents, IND meetings and filing 30% ruling applications.
• Our processes are not big and complicated, but many. Process management is the keyword.
• Our business is 100% online. All our meetings take place online. Clients seldomly visit our offices. We usually work remotely.
• Clients come from different time zones and require assistance within a short time frame. Communication goes through Whatsapp and email.

Your profile

• You are absolutely fluent in English. You are able to read and write in Dutch, but fluency is not required. Having an international background is a bonus.
• You are currently following a University level curriculum. Law or Tax Law focus is a bonus but not strictly necessary.
• You are able to combine this job with your current studies, at least for another 12 months.
• You must have a basic affinity with business, immigration and law.
• You are diligent, precise and like to keep your house in order.
• You have a positive, verbally adequate and slightly commercial attitude.
• You take pride in getting things done, and learning new things.
• You live in Amsterdam, and are able to work from the office once per week (if necessary).

Your work

You will start out by handling our 30% ruling applications. This is the only part that of our work that requires actual paperwork, as this is a requirement from the Belastingdienst. You will gather the required information and submit the application (in Dutch) to the Belastingdienst. Processes are fixed, you just need to follow the exact instructions.

If all goes well, you will be pulled further into our immigration processes. You will manage the incoming cases, and structure the processes for BV incorporation, visa applications and 30% rulings. At all times you will have direct contact with our international clients, and make sure they keep up with the requirements. This includes gathering required information, preparing legal documents, and planning meetings.

Finally you will be drawn more into the commercial side of things: performing the first contact with clients, making propositions and onboarding new clients.

You can work remotely. At least 1 day per week you will work from our offices at Herengracht, Amsterdam. You will work with Diederick Cardon. Diederick has LLMs in corporate law and financial law. He has more than 10 years of experience in commercial contracting and business law. He used to be a bar admitted attorney-at-law and now runs all legal operations at Cardon & Company.
