DevOps and Environments Manager

As a Barclays DevOps and Environments Manager, you will be accountable for release management, providing CI/CD expertise to the QIS team and being accountable for QIS environment management. You should also have an innovation mindset and be well versed in the overall development lifecycle and relevant technologies and tools. You will be a part of the well-established team in Prague consisting of more than 20 experienced professionals (70+ globally spread across London, New York, Pune, Hong Kong, Singapore).

What will you be doing?

Working in Equities-Derivatives domain and improving quality of the release management

Working on automatization and containerization of QIS projects

Managing environment refreshes from production

Working with development team to manage the non-production services stability

Taking care of hardware inventorisation, owning remediation plans for various Tech campaign

Mentoring and assisting junior colleagues

Contributing to the continuous improvement of the processes and the system

What we’re looking for:

Solid foundation in system architecture, software development, and both testing and deployment automation

Knowledge of continuous Integration applications (Team City, Jenkins) and as well as of Configuration Management systems (Chef)

Experiences with Linux/Unix administration

Experience with scripting (Python, Powershell, etc)

Skills that will help you in the role:

Relevant experience in software development and exposure to high level programming language (Java preferred)

Knowledge of relational database systems (preferably Oracle) and knowledge of AWS, OpenShift

Windows Server administration experience

Familiarity with messaging platforms such as MQ, Solace or Kafka
