Product Owner Platform & Software Engineering

What you are going to do

As a Product Owner for the Platform & Software Engineering domain, you are the driving force behind the roadmap, prioritization, and realization of platform components and development paths. You work closely with our engineering teams (platform engineers, software developers), security experts, architects, and other domains to continuously deliver value. You manage the right balance between technological innovation, stability, and efficiency. You understand the underlying technology well enough to make decisions about infrastructure, cloud architecture, CI/CD, integration, and software quality, but you can also easily communicate with stakeholders across departmental boundaries.

Your main responsibilities are:

• Developing and managing the product vision in collaboration with your manager
• Independently developing and managing a roadmap and backlog for the platform and software engineering team
• Determining together with engineers, architects, and stakeholders what will be built, why, and when
• Prioritizing work based on value, risks, dependencies, and technical feasibility
• Ensuring a streamlined development process within the team (Agile/Scrum)
• Actively contributing to initiatives regarding platform security, compliance, and developer productivity
• Identifying bottlenecks in platform performance, technical debt, or operational risks, and managing them effectively

Who you are

An experienced Product Owner or technical project leader with an affinity for software development, cloud platforms, and developer tooling.

• Strong communication skills, with the ability to connect technology and business
• Good at stakeholder management, even in complex and dynamic environments
• Able to dive deep with technical teams without losing sight of the big picture
• Self-organizing, proactive, and able to maintain focus on value
• Several years of relevant work experience in a PO role or similar position
• Experience with cloud-native platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS), CI/CD, DevOps, and software engineering
• Knowledge of Agile/Scrum and experience working in multidisciplinary development teams
• Preferably experience with infrastructure-as-code, Kubernetes, API architectures, or observability stacks
• Strong analytical skills, persuasiveness, and a sense of team dynamics
