Product Owner Intelligent Edge

Build and secure the online front door for millions of users worldwide by shaping a critical platform that delivers 24/7 protection for applications and APIs across more than 40 countries.

You & your role

Lead the development of our Edge Distribution Platform within Area Distributed Networks and build secure, scalable solutions on Web application and API protection (WAAP) technology.

Together with your self-organizing squad you are responsible for the Managed Standardized Service built on Akamai Connected Cloud and AIDA. Your service is the online front door of Rabobank. Anything Rabobank hosts and exposes to the public domain is monitored, optimized and secured through us. You deliver 24/7 security for our online infrastructure for millions of Rabobank customers worldwide.

As a Product Owner Online Banking Application and API Protection, you define and communicate the product vision, translate customer and business needs into a clear, prioritized Product Backlog, and ensure the team is always working on the most valuable items.

You gather data from both Rabobank and external sources and translate these insights into clear priorities. You maintain oversight of interests and dependencies, reduce complex topics into actionable decisions, and inspire your team to deliver value.

You also validate outcomes, gather feedback via reviews/user groups, and continuously refine the backlog to keep the product aligned with strategic goals.

• Defining and prioritizing backlog items to improve Web Application and API Protection for globally exposed banking applications.
• Aligning with multiple development teams to standardize edge security policies and reduce platform complexity.
• Working with external vendors to optimize performance, security and resilience of the edge distribution platform.

• Strengthen operational resilience by safeguarding continuity, stability and security of a globally critical online platform during disruptions.
• Simplify and standardize complex edge security features and policies to create a more scalable and manageable platform.

You & your talent

• Bachelor or Master level working and thinking ability.
• At least 5 years of experience as a Product Owner in complex IT or platform environments.
• At least 3 years of experience with application or API security platforms, preferably including Akamai.
• Analytical.
• Result-oriented.
• Stakeholder-focused.
