Managing Rituals' extensive network of physical locations has become increasingly complex due to our rapid growth. Maintaining a comprehensive view of all retail and B2B location information, which is essential for our operational processes, presents a significant challenge. In this role, your primary focus will be on enhancing and innovating our store life cycle management process. As a Project/Product Manager in the Store & Marketing Operations domain, you will be a vital member of the Tech and Data Stores & Marketing Operations Product team, collaborating closely with three direct colleagues.

The team consists of Project & Product Managers and Business Analysts. The Project-/Product Managers focus on management of business and IT projects, making priorities in changes and the supervision of software suppliers. Business Analysts focus on parts of projects that run through change management or work on continuous improvements for the system(s).

You will participate in cross-functional projects, including IT and data-related projects. Your role is essential in the continuous development of systems and integrations, embracing an Agile approach. With Rituals in constant transformation, your ability to think ahead is crucial. Building strong connections with business stakeholders and software vendors is crucial for optimizing your success. After all, if end-users and software suppliers work together closely, issues tend to be solved much quicker.

You will focus on:

  • You will be the primary Tech and Data point of contact for key business stakeholders and external software vendors, owning your domain roadmap and leading strategic projects that involves translating ever-changing business requirements into scalable, efficient and innovative technology solutions.
  • A highly proficient and organized project manager—owning project planning and timelines; keeping project hygiene up to date; setting and managing project scope; managing expectations by highlighting potential risks, dependencies and formulating mitigations.
  • You are the spider in the web—leading and coordinating internal and external cross-functional teams to build, deliver and maintain sustainable and scalable software solutions based on business and technical requirements, driving value and operational efficiencies. This involves collaborating with external Software Vendors, Implementation Partners, Business Stakeholders, Business Analysts, Business Domain Architects, Solution Architects, Product Owners and other PPM’s.
  • Own and maintain relationships with external software vendors—liaising on application updates, license agreements and roadmap priorities ensuring we are continually optimizing tool functionality based on business requirements.
  • Ensure operational continuity by coordinating support and incident management processes and acting as the escalation point for critical incidents ensuring timely resolution in collaboration with support teams.
  • Budget owner—ensure projects are delivered within budget according to Rituals’ financial control process.
  • Present work in a confident, articulate and clear manner, adapting content to meet the needs of different groups of stakeholders and translating technical jargon into simple language.
  • Champion best practice ways of working and introduce structure to processes with proven experience of working with agile scrum methodologies—adhering to Tech and Data principles and educating the business and colleagues.

  • At least 5 years of work experience as a Project or Product manager.
  • Excellent communication skills, enabling effective collaboration with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • You have proven experience in implementing software tooling within a data or IT environment.
  • You have demonstrated the ability to meet deadlines, handle and prioritize simultaneous requests, and manage laterally and upwards.
  • You are determined and persistent, you will keep trying until you have reached your goals, while taking your stakeholders along.
  • Experience in the retail industry is a plus.
  • Enthusiasm and passion, you know how to inspire people to achieve their goals.
  • Experience working in an Agile environment.
