Connect customers with the right products at bol

Connect customers with the right products and advertisers with the right audience

Bol is changing retail to make daily life simpler for 13 million customers. Together with 46,500 partners and advertisers who do business on our retail tech platform, we offer over 48 million articles. Can you imagine how many journeys are started each day?

Our mission is to make every customer interaction feel relevant. Whether someone searches for a phone case, hiking shoes, or a new powerbank, we want them to instantly find what fits their needs while helping our partners’ products get the attention they deserve.

We do this through Sponsored Products, one of bol’s fastest-growing advertising propositions. Ever noticed a product with ‘Gesponsord’ in small letters? That’s us. Curious how we decide which product appears where and when? That is where you come in.

What you will do as Product Manager Ad-Relevance

Working on sponsored products means that you sit right in the middle of technology, data, and business impact.

You will work closely with data scientists, machine learning engineers, and analysts to turn insights and experiments into better decisions that improve how our systems learn, predict, and deliver relevance at scale.

You will structure priorities, define success metrics, and keep the team focused on measurable outcomes. From experiment design to rollout, you make sure learnings translate into tangible improvements for customers and advertisers.

You will also help define how we measure success, balancing performance and customer experience, and making sure the solutions we build are scalable, fair, and data-driven.

What you will bring

You are curious, analytical, and comfortable working with data and experimentation. You might have a background in computer science, econometrics, data analytics, or engineering, or you have worked closely with data scientists before and know how to turn technical insights into clear product direction.

You have experience, preferably in a technical, analytical, or quantitative field such as computer science, econometrics, data analytics, engineering, or business information management.

You have a number of years of experience as a Product Manager or in a similar analytical or technical role, and you are eager to deepen your craft in a data-driven environment.

  • You will do well if you have experience or a strong interest in data or machine learning driven product development
  • Understand how experiments, models, and metrics connect to customer impact
  • Can translate technical discussions into clear priorities and measurable goals
  • Communicate confidently with data scientists, machine learning engineers, product analysts and other product managers.
  • Thrive in collaborative, cross-functional environments where experimentation and iteration are part of daily work
  • Are naturally curious about how technology learns and improves and enjoy guiding that process

3 reasons why this is (not) for you

  • Paved ways You prefer clear instructions over exploration and learning by doing.
  • No trial and error You do not like working with data or experimentation.
  • Building silos You find it hard to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams.

Why this is for you

  • Puzzler You love solving complex issues and bringing clarity to technical challenges.
  • Try and learn You enjoy working with smart, data-driven people who value progress over perfection.
  • Develop and grow You are eager to grow as a product manager in one of Bol’s most data-intensive domains.

In short

This is a role for a hands-on product manager who is passionate about building data-driven products and learning how technology shapes real customer experiences. You will be part of a talented cross-functional team that drives the evolution of sponsored products.

Together we will make every ad, and every discovery a little more relevant.
