Join Wolters Kluwer as a Senior Product Manager
As a Senior Product Manager for Wolters Kluwer’s Kluwer Law International (KLI) division, you will manage a product portfolio that includes our most important flagship product, Kluwer Arbitration, as well as new products we launch in the future. KLI is the international unit of the Legal & Regulatory division, providing services around cross-border legal compliance. Kluwer Arbitration is the highest revenue earner in the portfolio and is key to the success of this division.
Our business unit has a product vision, strategy, and a 3-year roadmap. The success of the roadmap and strategy is based on multiple product initiatives including AI, new growth areas, and further growing Kluwer Arbitration. This role will play a key role in ensuring this success.
Responsibilities
- Own the 3-6-month roadmap for Kluwer Arbitration and new product(s), including discovery, design, delivery, and Go-To-Market, by working with the right team members and stakeholders.
Voice of the Customer and Market
- Retrieve and analyze feedback from customers, stakeholders, and other teams to shape requirements, features, and end products.
- Conduct market research, including market sizing, growth potential, and key players, to identify key segments and their unique needs, preferences, and behaviors.
- Analyze the competition to understand their strengths, weaknesses, and market positioning.
- Continuously monitor the market and competitive landscape to identify opportunities and threats to the product portfolio.
Product Lifecycle
- Manage the product line life cycle from concept stage to launch, ensuring alignment with business goals and customer needs.
- Define the product strategy and roadmap in alignment with company goals and vision.
- Manage the product backlog and prioritize features based on business and customer impact.
- Prepare and review product requirements.
- Run beta and pilot programs with early-stage products.
Go to Market and Commercialization
- Develop and implement product marketing plans in collaboration with appropriate teams (pricing, campaigns for lead generation, product launching, event participation).
- Develop solid business cases for product development with revenue projections based on a clear market understanding.
- Partner effectively with sales and sales enablement teams to prepare demos and sales artefacts.
Data Driven Decision Making
- Iterate on product features based on user insights and data analysis.
- Monitor product performance and KPIs, implementing strategies to optimize user engagement, retention, and revenue.
Collaboration and Communication
- Effectively communicate the product strategy, roadmap, and performance to key stakeholders across the organization.
- Act as a product evangelist to build awareness and understanding among internal and external stakeholders.
- Work cross-functionally with Engineering, UX, and business teams to ensure smooth execution and timely delivery.
- Collaborate with senior management to create product plans and roadmaps and update them about the progress.
- Utilize tools like AHA, Jira, Slack, and Confluence to facilitate communication, project tracking, and documentation.
- Keep internal and external stakeholders abreast of the latest happenings and launches in a timely manner.
Requirements
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.
- MBA or relevant advanced degree preferred.
- Past experience in a more technical product role is preferred.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Scrum Product Owner, Agile Certified Product Manager) are a plus.
- Continuous learning in product management methodologies and industry trends.
Experience
- At least 5 years of experience as Product Manager.
- Significant experience in product lifecycle management and working in Agile environment.
- Proven track record of successfully launching and managing complex products from conception to delivery.
- Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving skills with creative approach.
Other Knowledge, Skills, Abilities or Certifications
- Knowledge in AI, especially Gen AI, would be beneficial.
- Knowledge in the domain of legal tech would be beneficial.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a customer-centric mindset.
- Profound knowledge of agile way of working.
- Very good team player and interaction skills.
- Ability to work independently and a natural curiosity.
- Excellent oral and written communications skills in English.
- Experience with data analytics tools like Google Analytics, Pendo.
- Proficiency with team communication applications (Slack, MS Teams, etc.).
- Comfortable with Jira, Confluence, Microsoft Office Suite (Project, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook).
