We are seeking a market-driven entrepreneur who can drive change and orchestrate the play field of the Poultry software portfolio together with Software Solutions.

In this role, you will report to the Director of Product Poultry and act as the link between the Poultry innovation management team and the Software product management team.

As a software product manager, you will define and manage Poultry’s software product portfolio and be accountable for its business success (together with the PMG). You will be supported by a team of experts and collaborate extensively with many disciplines in the company, such as marketing, sales, and service. A profound understanding of Marel Poultry’s market, customers, and portfolio is essential.

Together with the other three product managers, you will cover the complete current and future product portfolio.

What you’ll be doing

  • Identify market and customer needs and translate them into business opportunities.
  • Deliver high-quality business cases, value propositions, and program of requirements for new product development.
  • Create the long-term strategic plan of a product line, including go-to-market and lifecycle management. Product lines include:
    • Machine Solutions Families (e.g. I-line software applications across portfolio)
    • Poultry Process Solutions like ProFlow.
    • Poultry Business Solutions like Impaqt.
    • Voice of the customer for Digital Platform.
  • Drive portfolio life cycle management (post release) including product launch, upgrades/extensions, and end of service/life.
  • Serve as the software product expert across a diverse set of stakeholders, helping to prioritize the right sets of features to drive competitive advantage, as well as remove blockers.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional Marel teams to execute the software roadmap from ‘idea to market’.
  • Collaborate on go-to-market strategies and deliverables and realize successful market introduction of software products.
  • Build customer relationships for market research, usability studies, testing, etc.
  • Competitive analysis and market intelligence.
  • Voice of the customer for software development teams.
  • Be entrepreneurial; take and manage risk.
  • Lead the Poultry Division R&D software development engineers, in partnership with the various software engineering teams.

What kind of a person are you?

  • You are a driven, passionate, proactive, and organized professional with excellent communication and change management skills. You are an analytical and strategic thinker.
  • 5+ years Software Product Management experience, delivering features to market and driving successful business outcomes.
  • MBA / MSc in business or equivalent education.
  • Excellent project management, planning, and execution skills emphasizing the quality of both the process and the output.
  • People management skills to lead a team of 5-10 FTE.
  • Strong communication and change management skills with the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of co-workers and customers.
  • Knowledgeable and experienced in the international software market.
  • Knowledge of the Poultry industry is required.
  • Strong English skills, both written and verbal.
  • Experience with and comfort working in a multi-cultural, multi-discipline organization is an advantage.
  • The job requires some traveling (10-15%).
