Within the International Agrifood portfolio of Royal Jaarbeurs, we act as the storytellers of the VIV brand, responsible for the marketing and communication activities that drive international visitor engagement across our global trade shows.

As brand marketing manager – visitor promotion, you are responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring integrated visitor marketing campaigns across the VIV portfolio. Working closely with the Head of Marketing & Communications, you translate strategic objectives into actionable campaign plans that activate priority target groups and support the commercial goals of each show.

You coordinate the execution of these campaigns end-to-end — from planning through follow-up — ensuring all deliverables and marketing materials are created, aligned, and delivered on time and to quality standards. You manage relationships with internal stakeholders, external suppliers, and media partners, including setting up and negotiating media agreements to maximise visibility and reach. You analyse performance data and market insights to optimise campaigns and continuously improve the visitor journey across touchpoints. As part of an international portfolio, you are comfortable collaborating across cultures and time zones and are willing to travel internationally to support show delivery, partnerships, and market engagement.

VIV is the flagship brand of VNU Europe Exhibitions (the international branch of Royal Jaarbeurs) serving the global agrifood sector. The brand is internationally recognized as a leader in livestock production and protein value chains across species.

The portfolio includes major international trade shows such as VIV Europe, VIV Asia, VIV MEA, and VIV Africa, alongside regional editions including VIV Select China, and VIV Select India.

The Utrecht-based team consists of 17 colleagues from 10 diefferent nationalities and operates in a highly international, multicultural environment, working closely with partners and the office in Bangkok.

What you will do

  • Develop and execute visitor marketing strategies aligned with show objectives and target markets
  • Translate campaign strategies into concrete actions, deliverables, and multi‑channel content
  • Monitor campaign performance and optimize based on data‑driven insights
  • Coordinate the production of marketing assets and ensure consistency across all shows
  • Collaborate with international teams to deliver seamless digital and physical visitor journeys
  • Travel internationally to support campaign execution while taking ownership in a dynamic environment

  • A monthly salary of up to €4.660 based on 40 hours per week, depending on your experience

What you bring

We believe it’s important that you are creative, have an eye for quality, and strive for the best results.

Additionally, we expect the following:

  • You bring a higher professional education level (HBO) and 5–10 years of broad marketing experience, preferably within B2B events, exhibitions, or international campaign environments
  • You have a strong track record in running integrated marketing campaigns across paid, owned, and earned channels
  • You excel at coordinating deliverables and working effectively with external agencies and suppliers
  • You are data‑driven, interpreting insights with ease and translating them into clear actions and optimizations
  • You confidently manage media partnerships, align diverse stakeholders, and oversee complex project workflows
  • You have an international mindset and are open to travel, with excellent English skills (Dutch is a plus) and familiarity with tools such as WordPress, Marketing Cloud, Salesforce, and datahub systems
