About the role

We are looking for a motivated Junior Commercial Manager to support the development and commercial performance of the Jan Dekker portfolio. You will work with IMCD’s local commercial teams worldwide, assisting with product positioning, customer discussions, and operational coordination.

You will receive guidance from experienced colleagues and gradually take on more responsibility as you develop product and market knowledge.

Key responsibilities

  • Support sales and margin growth across the Jan Dekker portfolio.
  • Assist in resolving operational issues that may impact commercial performance.
  • Help communicate portfolio updates and priorities to IMCD commercial teams globally.
  • Participate in business reviews and provide input where needed.
  • Support forecasting, customer discussions, and opportunity pipeline management.
  • Build product and market knowledge through on‑the‑job learning.
  • Collaborate with operations on inventory and supply‑related matters.
  • Contribute ideas for campaigns and commercial initiatives.

What we are looking for

  • Minimum two years of experience in a commercial or sales role, ideally in (chemical) distribution or industrial B2B.
  • Based in the Amsterdam or Randstad region; valid EU work permit required.
  • Excellent English communication skills; Dutch is a plus.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems; JDE/Analytics experience is a plus.
  • Interest in commercial activities, product knowledge, and working with international teams.
  • Strong organizational skills, accuracy, and a proactive working style.
  • Team-oriented mindset and willingness to learn.
