As Product Manager II: Integrations & Platform (Scopus), this is a new and high-impact opportunity at the heart of Scopus’ evolution. You will help unlock one of Scopus’ key value differentiators: trusted, high-quality data that customers can use beyond scopus.com, across their own tools, workflows, and AI-enabled environments.
You will own product outcomes for integration and platform capabilities, focused on internal and external data, content, and platform integrations, while shaping these capabilities to support internal and external partners, customer ecosystems, and GenAI-powered use cases.
This role combines platform thinking, analytical rigor, and strong collaboration. You will define integration standards and principles, prioritize impactful work, and help Scopus adapt to rapidly growing customer demand for connected data and AI-driven insights—all while maintaining trust, quality, and scalability.
Key Responsibilities
Integrations, Platform & Data
- Own strategy, requirements, and prioritization for platform and data integrations that power Scopus today and enable future ecosystems.
- Define and evolve integration standards, data contracts, and quality expectations to ensure consistency, trust, and reuse.
- Ensure platform capabilities are reliable, scalable, and extensible for customers using Scopus data outside the core product.
- Partner closely with engineering, architecture, data science, legal, and commercial teams to deliver coherent platform outcomes.
- Lead product decisions where speed, trust, scalability, and long-term value must be carefully balanced.
GenAI & AI Platform Integrations
- Own product requirements for integrations with GenAI tools and services, including internal Elsevier platforms (e.g. LeapSpace).
- Help translate GenAI potential into real, responsible product value, grounded in trusted data.
- Ensure AI integrations align with data provenance, governance, and quality standards.
- Evaluate where GenAI meaningfully enhances workflows and insights—and where it does not.
Analytics & Evidence-Based Decision-Making
- Use data to frame problems, test assumptions, and guide prioritization.
- Define and track success metrics for platform and integration capabilities (adoption, reliability, quality, downstream impact).
- Challenge opinions, including your own, using evidence.
- Turn complex data into clear, actionable insights for diverse stakeholders.
Customer Focus & Market Awareness
- Engage with customers to understand evolving needs around data access, integration, and AI-driven use cases.
- Anticipate market and competitive trends related to platforms, ecosystems, and AI.
- Balance customer expectations with commercial and operational realities.
Product Delivery & Go-To-Market
- Participate in product discovery and delivery using agile practices.
- Solve customer and internal user problems through well-defined platform capabilities.
- Support go-to-market activities, enablement, and stakeholder communication.
Requirements
Experience
- 3+ years of Product Management experience.
- Ownership of a product, platform capability, or multiple features.
- Proven delivery of improvements that drove customer satisfaction and/or commercial impact.
- Experience with platform, integration, or data-heavy products is strongly preferred.
Technical & Analytical Skills
- Strong analytical acumen and an evidence-based mindset.
- Comfort working with large, complex, or imperfect datasets.
- Understanding of data and platform architecture principles.
- Experience working with or alongside AI / LLM-enabled capabilities.
- API experience: integrations and managing dependencies with internal or external partners and platforms, knowledge of authentication/authorization methods.
- Proficiency with tools such as Adobe Analytics, Tableau, or similar.
Soft Skills & Ways of Working
- Excellent communication and active listening skills.
- Empathy for users, customers, and internal teams.
- Ability to influence across disciplines and seniority levels.
- Strong problem-solving mindset and bias toward outcomes.
- Commitment to learning, feedback, and continuous improvement.
Education
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a technical discipline preferred.
- Candidates with strong engineering or data backgrounds who demonstrate product judgment and communication skills are encouraged to apply.
