Your Tasks

MediaMarkt Benelux is looking for an experienced Finance Manager to play a key role in ensuring high-quality financial reporting, strong governance, and continuous improvement within the finance function. In this role, you are responsible for the reliability, accuracy, and timeliness of financial reporting and for further strengthening the internal control environment. You act as a trusted finance partner for senior stakeholders, work closely with international finance counterparts, and actively contribute to the financial transformation of the organization.

• Ensure accurate, timely, and compliant financial reporting for the Benelux region
• Lead finance transformation, process improvement, and change initiatives
• Own and improve month-end and year-end close processes
• Act as primary contact for external auditors and IFRS-related matters
• Coordinate audits and follow up on findings and control improvements
• Assess financial impact of commercial initiatives and new business models
• Maintain our internal control environment and ensure compliance
• Support finance governance and reporting to senior management
• Drive automation, data quality improvements, and data-driven reporting
• Coordinate with international finance stakeholders and our Shared Service Centre in Barcelona

Your Profile

• Senior finance professional with a minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting and financial processes, including IFRS/ISA and year-end reporting
• Post-Master degree in Accountancy or equivalent (RA / CPA preferred)
• Solid understanding of internal control frameworks and audit processes
• Analytical & tech-savvy, strong in data analysis, Power BI, and Excel – able to interpret new insights and translate them into actionable solutions
• Hands-on experience with year-end processes and reporting
• Connector & communicator, effectively bridges finance, data/technology, and business; able to coordinate teams and projects
• Proven ability to operate in a complex, international environment
