A career at Equinix means being at the center of shaping what comes next and amplifying customer value through innovation and impact. You’ll work across teams, influence key decisions, and help shape the path forward. You’ll find belonging, purpose, and a team that welcomes you—because when you feel valued, you’re empowered to do your best work.

The Operations Project Management department plays a central role in continuously improving, expanding, and adapting the critical technical infrastructure in Equinix’s Dutch data centres. This team has strong technical expertise in electrical, mechanical, and control/monitoring systems and manages projects and programmes related to technical infrastructure.

As a Project Manager in Operations Project Management, you are responsible for planning and delivering technical projects in Equinix’s Dutch data centres, including preparation, execution, handover, and aftercare. You will manage projects where multiple stakeholders’ interests must be considered and coordinate both internal specialists and external parties.

Because of the nature of these projects, knowledge and experience in construction and building-related electrical, mechanical, and control systems is desirable. You will be supported by Project Engineers from various disciplines. Each project must ensure time, cost, quality, information, organisation, as well as health and safety are maintained.

Your Responsibilities

  • Advise clients and stakeholders on project approach and organisation.
  • Prepare project plans and documentation and follow agreed processes.
  • Schedule and reserve resources needed for the project, both internal and external.
  • Monitor project progress and report to clients and stakeholders.
  • Contract external parties such as suppliers, consultants, and contractors, and manage budgets.
  • Hold progress meetings and address changes in scope, time, and budget.
  • Deliver completed projects with all agreed deliverables and provide aftercare post-handover.
  • Contribute to process improvements where possible (e.g., workflows, reporting methods, contracts, supply chain, and document management).

Your Profile

  • Relevant technical education and higher professional level (HBO).
  • Proven training in project management.
  • Significant experience as a Project Manager in construction or building-related installation projects; experience in mission-critical environments is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills in Dutch and English, both spoken and written.
  • Proactive, structured, and results-oriented approach.
  • Customer-focused, solution-driven mindset.
  • Responsible team player who collaborates, motivates, and persuades others; able to mediate conflicts when needed.
  • Knowledge of and affinity with office software applications.

What We Offer

  • A competitive salary based on knowledge and experience
  • Work primarily at our data center locations; working from home is possible but not standard
  • An opportunity to learn and in a supportive environment!
  • 27 days of leave with the option to purchase 3 additional days
  • Employee Stock Purchase Plan and Company Pension Plan
  • Subsidised lunch provided on location (voluntary opt in)
  • Comprehensive support for personal development and growth, both in terms of time and financial resources
