Business Context and Main Purpose of the Job

Unilever Professional (UPro) is the B2B arm of Home Care (HC), created in 2019, with a strong track record of growth and an ambition to triple the business by 2030. Unilever Professional specializes in offering Home Care solutions tailored for professional cleaning sectors, including Restaurants, Hotels, Offices, and Commercial Laundries, and is currently operational in 44 markets. The UPro marketing team serves operators around the globe with professional cleaning solutions that inspire them, help them progress their business, and support them in their daily operations. We are looking for an ambitious, capable marketer who can act as an intrapreneur.

Main purpose of the job

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Global Category & Assistant Brand Manager to join our UPro team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in portfolio management, innovation, and strategic development within the B2B sector. This role requires a forward-thinking candidate who can drive product innovation, manage product portfolios, and ensure our offerings meet the evolving needs of our operator. You will drive the Brand and Category growth agenda of UPro globally.

Main Accountabilities

  • Develop a deep understanding of our operator groups, gather actionable insights, and turn them into solutions that address true operators’ needs.
  • Responsible for Home & Hygiene Professional platform, delivering projects OTIF (on time on full) with the support of cross-functional teams.
  • Co-design a multi-year innovation funnel with CMI, R&D, and SC to build a strong project roadmap for both core & core+ portfolio.
  • Understand project scopes to bring solutions for operator pain points, driving business growth and ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Follow innoflex (internal Unilever system) process to provide required updates to different gate/decision moments, ensuring proper tracking in the system.
  • Develop strong trade & consumer stories based on all project elements.
  • Own/guide product/brand positioning, claims, and OET (Operator Experience Toolkits) for global innovations and brand equity campaigns.
  • Collaborate with global digital and content teams to create multi-touchpoint marketing assets.
  • Adopt a “start-up" innovation approach and mindset to deliver faster and more relevant solutions to market.
  • Connect with local teams to ensure all initiatives are operator-relevant and customer-relevant, ensuring local content and best practices travel globally.
  • Coach and develop the project teams they chair to drive actions with clarity, speed, and agility.
  • Build value through partnerships with external business partners, developing new ways of working and designing innovative business models.
  • Manage project budgets, including monitoring and planning.

What we’re looking for

  • Thrive in rapidly changing situations
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • 5+ years’ experience across marketing disciplines: Brand Management, Product innovation
  • Passion for building high-performing project teams and nurturing talent
  • Strong change management and stakeholder influencing skills in a complex and matrix organization – able to effectively communicate with customers, cross-functional teams, leadership teams, local and regional/global teams
  • Willing to travel 10% of time
  • SOL Business acumen, Passion for high performance, Consumer/Customer love and Talent Catalyst
