At Air-France-KLM, the Information Management Organization (IMO) Finance and Procurements is a knowledge center responsible for the collection, storage, management and maintenance of data and other types of information, for all financial processes. The IMO acts as an integrator between the user organization and the external and internal IT suppliers. It allows our data-driven businesses to make better decisions and achieve goals.

The IMO organization is continuously optimizing its services, with the aim to reach the best business architecture and optimal processes. You will be part of this continuous improvement, allowing you to steer your career beyond the limitation of this vacancy.

Our current pool of business analysts at IMO Controlling is heavily involved in managing data and processes associated with Finance Reporting, Finance Advanced Analytics and Finance Data Hub. You will be part of this team consisting of 8 specialists (joint AF and KL), and you will support IMO’s strategy to move to the Cloud.

What will you do?

As a Business Analyst, you will be the link between the Product Owners, Project Managers, and the technical IT teams. Your primary role is to comprehend and translate business requirements into meaningful insights for the IT developers. The other way around, you will need to translate technical concepts into non-technical language so that everyone understands what is happening.

Also, you will:

  • Work closely with stakeholders to understand the problem, define it, narrow its scope, and then specify the requirements for a solution;
  • Refine the Epics and User Stories created by the Product Owner and make sure that it meets the Acceptance criteria. You make sure that every business rule is covered, and the functionality of the User Story is proper.
  • Think of the interoperability of the modules, i.e., how new features and updates would affect the other modules.
  • Create documentation that lays out how users will interact with a product or service while also explaining why they need it;
  • Anticipate and analyze the needs of the businesses to find solutions to address their problems.

Where do you land?

You will join the Essbase & EPM team within the Controlling domain of DF&P. The team includes Business Analysts and Functional Application Managers who collaborate closely to ensure both continuity and development of our financial systems.

Your profile

You are someone who naturally takes ownership of the systems you work with and feels responsible for keeping them healthy. You enjoy overseeing all moving parts of a complex application and take satisfaction in ensuring controllers always have stable, trusted data.

You have:

  • A Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Management, Finance, IT, or similar.
  • 3+ years of experience in Business Analysis, EPM systems, multidimensional databases, or functional ownership roles.
  • Experience with Essbase or another OLAP/EPM platform (OneStream, TM1, HFM, BPC).
  • Understanding of financial planning, controlling, budgeting, or consolidation processes.
  • A structured, meticulous, and proactive approach to managing application continuity.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to connect data, logic, and business meaning.
  • Clear communication skills in English (Dutch is a plus).
  • A drive to keep improving systems while ensuring they remain stable and predictable.
