You & Your Role

As Lead Business Architect E&E Tech, you will shape the future of Rabobank’s IT landscape. You are responsible for developing, maintaining, and enforcing the IT strategy and architecture for your domains, ensuring alignment with the bank’s strategic priorities. The domains in scope are CFECO, CHRO and the CITO domains (e.g. IAM, Tech4Engineering, Foundation4Tech and Global Data & Analytics Platform).

Imagine influencing decisions at the highest level, collaborating with business and IT leaders, and guiding transformation roadmaps that impact thousands of colleagues and millions of customers.

Achieve Results

• Develop transformation roadmaps that simplify and modernise the application landscape.
• Guide the implementation of target architectures, ensuring they are inspiring, feasible, and sustainable.
• Influence IT vendor strategies to align with Rabobank’s long-term vision.

• 40 FTE in direct line, 120 FTE in functional line, 3,300 IT FTE domains.

Top 3 Responsibilities

• Develop and steer the long-term IT strategy, architecture, and roadmap for your domain, making balanced decisions between business needs and technical possibilities.
• Coach, mentor, and develop business and solution architects, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and high performance.
• Collaborate with senior management and stakeholders to ensure the realisation of the vision and target architecture, escalating issues when necessary.

Within the organisation, you report to the Chief Architecture & Engineering Officer and are a member of the MT CAEO. You work closely with other Lead Business Architects, Enterprise Architects, Enterprise Engineering and business executives, presenting proposals at Managing Board level and interacting with CEOs and CTOs of key IT vendors.

You & Your Talent

• Master’s degree in IT or Business (mandatory).
• At least 10 years of proven experience in senior business or enterprise architecture, or another form of senior content leadership, including demonstrable experience in both engineering and architecture.
• Strong experience in management and/or coaching, with a track record of leading teams (120fte) and developing talent.
• Exceptional conceptual thinking skills, combined with the ability to explain complex issues clearly and understandably.
• Excellent communication, influencing, and negotiation skills at a strategic level.
• Proven ability to translate technical and architectural concepts into business impact.
• Must be based in the Netherlands
