Department Description

This role is part of the Collections Central Control and Reporting Team and has direct contact for stakeholders within business functions. The Business Analyst will support the Management in decision making process by supplying the relevant steering information in the smartest way possible by using data.

Job Description

The Business Analyst plays a key role in translating data into actionable insights, supporting strategic decision-making, and driving business performance. Responsible for reviewing system and business processes and implementing desired structure.

Key deliverables:

  • Analysis, development, and quality assurance of data reporting solutions towards business needs. Responsible for reviewing system and business processes and implementing desired structure.
  • Analyse trends, identify opportunities, and support business functions with data-driven insights: Analyze existing reports and dashboards in use and find ways to harmonize and simplify those, leading to creating the user requirements for future reports and dashboards and helping to test those
  • Collect, process, and analyse data from multiple sources to identify trends, patterns, and insights that drive business decisions
  • Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, and visualizations to communicate key metrics and performance indicators to stakeholders
  • Collaborate with different departments to understand their data needs and provide analytical support to improve processes and outcomes
  • Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity in all reporting and analysis activities through rigorous validation and quality checks
  • Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance data collection, analysis, and reporting capabilities

The ideal candidate will have the following profile:

Education and Knowledge:

  • University degree in Economics, Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or related field; Master’s degree preferred
  • Fluency in English, a second foreign language is an advantage
  • Advanced MS-Office skills, experience with Power BI
  • Knowledge of data warehousing/data lake

Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years of working experience in process and change management
  • Proven experience and proficiency in data analysis, reporting, and business intelligence
  • Project related skills to support projects and programs within the Unit
  • Understanding of database management systems and data governance

Further requirements:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, detail-oriented with focus on accuracy and consistency
  • Combination of business acumen and technical skills with ability to interpret complex data sets and derive actionable insights
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality work
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present findings to non-technical stakeholders
  • Able to work with people from different countries / cultures
  • Able to manage stakeholders and drive change in a complex matrix organization
  • Flexible attitude towards ad-hoc requests and the ability to cope with a complex environment
  • Willingness to travel occasionally (international)
