As QESH Manager, you are the expert in Quality, Environment, Safety, Health & Sustainability. You advise the executive team and management, develop policies, and ensure the implementation and safeguarding of state-of-the-art systems and standards. You play a key role in continuously improving our processes and ensuring quality within a complex technical environment. NCWS produces cables at various Neways production sites worldwide, including the Netherlands, Germany, Slovakia, and Malaysia.

A current challenge is shaping and optimizing collaboration processes with our global sister organizations where cable production is taking place or needs to be established. You lead the QESH team of approximately 15 FTE, some of whom are also operationally active in multidisciplinary customer teams and within operations. You work closely with fellow MT members from disciplines such as Engineering, Production, and HR, and report directly to the Managing Director of NCWS. Additionally, you are part of the Global QESH network and report functionally to the Global QESH Director.

This is what you bring to the team

• Higher education (HBO/WO) level of thinking and working (e.g., technical or business-oriented)

• At least 5 years of experience in a similar QESH role within a technical or industrial environment

• Knowledge and application of international quality standards, audit principles, and statistical analysis methods; certified auditor is a plus

• Experience with project and change management; you know how to guide people through change

• Balanced leadership focused on people and results

• Strong communication skills in Dutch, English, and preferably also German

• Collaborative mindset across sites and disciplines

• Analytical, persuasive, and decisive

Your Daily Responsibilities Include

• Developing, implementing, and safeguarding policies, processes, and procedures in the field of QESH, in accordance with legislation and certification requirements for existing and new market segments, which may impose new or additional demands on current procedures.

• Streamlining work processes with our global sister organizations where cable production is taking place or needs to be established, to ensure optimal customer delivery.

• Providing both direct and functional leadership to the team in coordination with operational managers (production team leaders and CFT leaders).

• Conducting training sessions and toolbox meetings on QESH topics and raising awareness of quality and safety.

• Coordinating internal and external audits, drills, measurements, and risk assessments (RI&E), with attention to detail and improvement.

• Performing and guiding incident investigations; advising on measurement methods, process control, and training needs.

• Handling complaints adequately and proposing improvement initiatives; taking immediate action in case of quality risks and safeguarding product quality.
