Senior Manager Global Trade Compliance & Optimization

We are seeking an ambitious and experienced senior trade compliance & optimization manager, ready for the next step in her/his career, to join the Coty GTC team as Senior Manager Global Trade Compliance & Optimization. This role reports directly to the Global Customs & Trade Compliance director.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As our Senior Manager Global Trade Compliance & Optimization, you will lead the Global Compliance & Optimization Team (GCO) and ensure compliance with applicable regulations and international trade laws, including customs licenses (such as AEO). You will drive global trade compliance and continuous improvement initiatives, including customs automation of central tasks, and own and maintain the customs & trade compliance framework, SOPs, and trade management IT system.

The role requires an excellent level of knowledge of both operational and regulatory areas of customs, as well as the capacity to conceive, orchestrate, and deliver continuous improvement projects. You will provide business intelligence through global KPIs, reporting, and monitoring of regulatory changes, and identify and drive opportunities for simplification of customs processes and duty management optimization.

This position involves interaction with a range of internal and external stakeholders, including customs authorities, often managing several project parts simultaneously. You will work closely with the global customs & trade compliance community and centralized customs & trade compliance capabilities (including global customs and trade compliance systems). Additional key relationships will be with the IT community, Regional Logistics teams, as well as Finance, Tax, Procurement, Manufacturing, and Planning.

Your main focus:

• Lead a team of customs and trade compliance specialists, ensuring alignment with GTC global strategy.
• Ensure compliance with applicable international trade laws, regulations, and customs licenses (including AEO).
• Own and maintain the customs & trade compliance framework, SOPs, and trade management IT system.
• Provide business intelligence through global KPIs, reporting, and monitoring of regulatory changes.
• Identify and drive opportunities for simplification of customs processes and duty management optimization.

YOU ARE A COTY FIT

You bring experience from working in a matrix organization (FMCG is an advantage), with an excellent understanding of Customs and its connection with supply chain in a broader perspective (from sourcing to delivering). You demonstrate strong analytical, innovation, and fact-based problem-solving skills with an end-to-end mindset, and have proven ability to lead a team in alignment with company strategy and goals. You apply effective influencing and negotiation skills in complex environments and enjoy working in a fast-paced, diverse, and international environment.

• Hold a B.Sc. or M.Sc. degree in International Trade, Economics, Law, Business, Engineering, or a related field (advanced degree is an advantage).
• Have 8–10 years of relevant working experience (preferably in a multinational company).
• Have experience with global trade management systems.
• Have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Are fluent in English (another language is a plus).
