Join our growing and ambitious team at Oaklins Netherlands and play a key role in shaping our next phase of growth. As our Chief Operating Officer (COO), you will be the connecting force across the organization – supporting strategic and operational excellence, and leading the development of our internal teams.

About the job

Oaklins Netherlands is scaling up and further professionalizing its operations. To guide this growth, we are now looking for a Chief Operating Officer (COO).

As COO, you will work closely with the Managing Partners to discuss and drive strategic and operational topics. You will also manage our supporting teams, including Finance, HR, IT, CSR, Marketing, and Office Management, fostering their collaboration with the firm’s divisions.

This is a pivotal role for someone who enjoys both strategy and execution — a pragmatic thinker and doer who strengthens the foundation on which our growth is built. You will bring structure, scalability, and rhythm to the organization, ensuring operational excellence while nurturing our entrepreneurial and dynamic culture.

If you are ready to make an impact in a fast-growing, people-driven environment, we’d love to meet you.

What you'll do

As a key member of our leadership team, you will have the opportunity to add value through:

  • Coordinating and guiding recurring organizational meetings such as quarterly sessions
  • Coaching and empowering support teams to collaborate effectively with business divisions
  • Partnering with the Managing Partners on strategic themes and organizational development
  • Identifying and implementing improvements in processes, structure, and collaboration
  • Leading organizational changes that support growth and scalability
  • Driving data-driven and digital ways of working (AI, automation, analytics)
  • Ensuring structure, clarity, and follow-up across key initiatives and meetings
  • Supporting commercial processes where needed
  • Safeguarding strategic progress and alignment across teams
  • Promoting a culture of openness, collaboration, and continuous learning

Who you are

  • Someone with broad business management experience, preferably with a background in the financial, legal, banking, or consultancy sector
  • Strong understanding of the role and value of support functions in a growing company
  • A coaching leader with strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Decisive and persuasive, yet approachable and people-oriented
  • Interested in digitalization and data-driven innovation
  • Strong at bringing structure, overview, and rhythm to a dynamic environment
  • Energetic, curious, and hands-on
  • Available for at least 24 hours per week, with a presence of at least three days in our Amsterdam office

The perks

  • A high level of autonomy and responsibility in a key leadership role
  • The opportunity to shape the next growth phase of a successful international advisory firm
  • Collaboration with motivated and entrepreneurial colleagues
  • A dynamic, open, and learning-oriented culture
  • Inspiring events, social gatherings, and international exposure
  • Excellent coffee, great lunches — and our famous Friday drinks
  • Office located in the heart of Amsterdam Zuidas

Our personal approach to M&A and financial advisory is woven into the DNA of our organization. Whether it’s across teams, industries or markets, we collaborate closely to be the best at what we do:...
