About us

We are the independent expert in assurance and risk management. Driven by our purpose to safeguard life, property, and the environment, we empower our customers and their stakeholders with facts and reliable insights so that critical decisions can be made with confidence. As a trusted voice for many of the world’s most successful organizations, we use our knowledge to advance safety and performance, set industry benchmarks, and inspire and invent solutions to tackle global transformations.

About Energy Systems at DNV

We help customers navigate the complex transition to a decarbonized and more sustainable energy future. We do this by assuring that energy systems work safely and effectively, using solutions that are increasingly digital. We also help industries and governments to navigate the many complex, interrelated transitions taking place globally and regionally in the energy industry.

About the role

To enable Energy Systems to achieve its strategic ambitions and become future fit, we need leaders who drive business operations to meet customers’ expectations while also continuously improving the way we work. Region Northern Europe is therefore seeking a Key Account Manager to further develop long-term relationships with Northern European financiers that are active in the DNV markets, working technology and location agnostic to increase our market inception globally and remain or become the ‘go-to’ market, technical, ESG and cyber security partner in transactions.

The Key Account Manager is responsible for EQT and an account portfolio of financiers, the so-called Cluster of Northern Europe financiers, and reports to the Market Area Manager as part of the Customer Relations & Sales unit. The role gives customers a strong voice within the organization, challenges the internal organization on customer centricity, and provides input for customer policy and strategy. You will focus on these customers, driving sales and managing customer relations successfully. For developing targeted Key Account campaigns, you will collaborate closely with Marketing, Communication & Public Affairs. You will also contribute to building sales competencies and strive for a high-performing and collaborative culture.

Primary tasks of this role:

  • Drive sales through strategic business development and market positioning, actively managing sales pipeline growth and increasing order intake for defined key customer(s). Strong influence on project pricing, resourcing, and bid quality review across service areas and regions.
  • Monitor and manage the sales funnel, from sales qualified leads to won opportunities.
  • Seek key customer insight (e.g., on strategic direction) and market insight, including evolving services of competitors.
  • Actively participate in key industry events, conferences, and DNV-organized breakfast events to enhance market positioning, expand professional networks, promote DNV’s current and upcoming services, and provide valuable insights back to DNV.
  • Optimize the customer experience measured in the CSRI score.
  • Develop and manage a key account strategy to optimize the customer experience and DNV business with customers, for cross- and up-selling activities across business areas, business units, and services.
  • Set up and lead a key account team to stimulate and ensure collaboration and communication across relevant departments, in order to optimize customer experience and sales.
  • Foster relevant internal and external networks; identify, build, and strengthen relevant customer relationships.
  • Manage and develop new and existing frame agreements, in collaboration with the Service Areas and the Bid Support Team.
  • Act as a project sponsor for key projects, monitor delivery of projects/services to ensure high quality and consistency, and participate in cross-sector opportunities.
  • Support the Regional Leadership Team in strategy and decision-making.
