Department Overview

At Robeco, the Global Procurement & Third Party Management department is essential for maintaining smooth operations. With the evolving financial industry and the implementation of the Digital Operational Resilience Act (DORA), our focus has shifted to managing third-party risks and enhancing digital and operational resilience. We oversee relationships with third-party service providers, ensuring they comply with regulations and internal policies. Our team conducts thorough risk assessments, develops effective mitigation strategies, and monitors vendor performance, risk, and resilience. We also ensure Robeco remains in control of its outsourcing partners and can demonstrate compliance to clients, auditors, and regulators by staying up to date with the latest regulatory developments and industry standards.

Position & Requirements

In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in shaping our third-party relationships, ensuring compliance, and driving our strategic initiatives forward. Your roles and responsibilities include:

  • Coordinating Third Party Management Board meetings, preparing agendas, gathering relevant documentation, and ensuring key topics are addressed efficiently.
  • Reporting on the status of third-party risk, providing timely updates and insights to stakeholders to support informed decision-making and ongoing compliance.
  • Planning and executing TPM activities, conducting risk assessments, due diligence, and reviewing third-party assurance reports.
  • Maintaining the TPM framework by translating both internal and regulatory requirements into effective strategies, policies, procedures and effective use of technology (Ai).
  • Educating team members and stakeholders on third-party management and operational resilience to ensure alignment and compliance.
  • Ensuring vendors comply with the Digital Operational Resilience Act (DORA) and other relevant regulations, as well as internal policies and standards. This includes monitoring and assessing vendor performance, risk, and resilience, and reporting any issues or incidents that may affect operations or reputation.

Requirements

  • At least 4 years of experience as a Vendor Manager or Third-Party Risk Manager, preferably in the financial services industry.
  • A bachelor's or master's degree in Finance, Risk Management or related field.
  • Proficiency in both Dutch and English (written and spoken).
  • Proven hands-on experience in vendor monitoring, including performing vendor due diligence assessments, assurance report assessments, and vendor performance monitoring.
  • Strong communication skills, essential for effective collaboration with various teams and departments, i.e. IT, Compliance and Risk Management.
  • A positive and ‘can do’ mentality, an analytical mindset and strong problem-solving skills.
  • A forward-looking approach to incorporate innovative solutions for effective third-party management and operational resilience.
  • Good cooperation skills, with a focus on knowledge sharing.
