Job description
TU Delft Library is looking for a Trainer in Research Data Management (RDM) and Digital Skills. This is a temporary one-year position with a maximum end date of 31-12-2026, focused on organizing and delivering training for researchers at TU Delft.
As part of the Research Data and Software (RDS) team, you will collaborate with a dedicated training group that includes two trainers, an educational advisor, a training assistant, and a coordinator. Together, you will teach courses such as Research Data Management 101 and Personal Data and Human Subjects in Research for PhD candidates. Depending on your experience and interests, you also have the opportunity to contribute to Carpentries workshops and other software-related training sessions.
The RDS training team works in close collaboration with the Faculty Data Stewards, the Digital Competence Centre team, and colleagues from other Dutch research organisations. These collaborations will give you ample opportunities to engage in development and delivery of training together with a diverse network of partners, while expanding your professional connections. In addition to researcher-focused training, you will support the data literacy project for MSc and BSc students, led by the Education Support (ES) team at the Library. In this project, you will contribute as content and training expert, helping design mini-modules that introduce research data management concepts to students, allowing you to gain experience in tailoring content for a broader academic audience.

The RDS team is part of the Research Services Department at TU Delft Library. Since 2019, we have led efforts to implement the Vision for Research Data & Software management training at TU Delft. This one-year position (with maximum end date 31-12-2026) supports the continued delivery of our training courses and offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the advancement of open and reproducible science at TU Delft.
