Role Description

We're looking for a Change Lead to join our FinTech department and help people to adopt changes that enable Booking.com's mission of making it easier for everyone to experience the world.

This is a unique opportunity to contribute towards building a new change team and drive the adoption of process, organizational, mindset, and system changes in our fast-paced and complex department. Our ideal candidate is an autonomous and experienced professional who can assess change impacts, build and monitor truly effective change plans and navigate the complexities of a complex, and fast-paced financial technology department, with a strong focus on regulatory compliance. The Change Lead will report to the Fintech Senior Change Manager.

Key Job Responsibilities and Duties

  • Design and execute change management activities for key programs & initiatives within the Fintech department, specifically:
  • Work with stakeholders to identify, anticipate, assess and manage change impacts arising from key programs
  • Lead in the development and monitoring of change interventions to increase adoption of changes (such as readiness assessments, comms plans, training plans, advocate/champion networks)
  • Support on the development of the change team’s ways of working, artifacts and tooling, contributing towards the overall growth in change maturity of the department
  • Engage and influence stakeholders in a complex and fast-paced environment, across multiple departments
  • Create learning and development plans where applicable, leading on the development of engaging learning to prepare our people for changes
  • Contribute to program management by creating change roadmaps, dependency management and periodic reporting on progress.
  • Coach and support our leaders to be effective change advocates and leaders

Qualifications & Skills

  • 5-8 years of experience in complex change programs within dynamic and international business environments
  • Good understanding of Change Management approaches, tools and program lifecycle
  • Ability to lead change workstreams and/or to manage a portfolio view of changes
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to advocate for the change craft
  • Ability to establish and maintain strong relationships with all levels, including senior leadership
  • Flexible and adaptable; able to work in ambiguous situations where scope is sometimes unclear and priorities can change
  • Able to use quantitative and qualitative data to support change management approach and drive decision making
  • Ability to simplify complex topics
  • Solid business acumen and understanding of organizational issues and challenges
  • Experience in regulatory compliance or Fintech is an advantage
