Portfolio Manager White Dairy at FrieslandCampina

The Portfolio Manager – White Dairy (EU) will be responsible for managing and optimizing our White Dairy portfolio to ensure it is fit-for-purpose and enables the realization of our €150m EBIT ambition in Europe. This role will balance portfolio simplification with the need to meet diverse consumer and customer demands, directly supporting our ambition to achieve €200m cost savings while enabling commercial growth.

This is a high-visibility role, requiring strong cross-functional leadership and collaboration with senior stakeholders across multiple OpCos, Business Groups, and functions. The position combines long-term strategic vision with pragmatic execution, making it a critical enabler of our White Dairy ambition.

Ce que nous demandons

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Business, Marketing, Supply Chain, Economics).
  • 10+ years of relevant experience in portfolio management, commercial strategy, or cross-functional project leadership within FMCG or dairy/food industries.
  • Strong commercial acumen with proven ability to balance cost optimization and growth.
  • Excellent project management skills with a structured, results-driven way of working.
  • Proven stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the ability to lead through others and collaborate across functions.
  • Demonstrated organization savvy, able to navigate complexity in a multinational environment.
  • Continuous improvement mindset with a strong drive to win and deliver business impact.

Portfolio Strategy & Optimization

  • Deliver on portfolio rationalization targets for 2025.
  • Develop and implement the “New Horizon” portfolio plan in collaboration with OpCos, Supply Chain, and White Dairy teams.
  • Monitor and track portfolio health through QAR, IPM processes, and OpCo reviews.
  • Ensure portfolio simplicity while serving maximum consumer and customer needs.

Cross-OpCo & Business Group Projects

  • Act as the commercial lead for White Dairy cross-OpCo / cross-BG initiatives, including Design-to-Value (DtV), segmentation, and harmonization projects.
  • Drive cross-OpCo efficiency projects (e.g., Quark investments, PET line optimization in Aalter).
  • Execute Private Label strategy for BG EU on non-innovation products (e.g., evaluate scaling of chocolate milk under PL while safeguarding core brand equity).

Execution & alignment

  • Partner with OpCos, RA, and SC on portfolio guardrails, MOQ standards, and ensure effective execution of approved projects.
  • Provide commercial leadership on cross-functional projects, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and cost-out targets.
  • Secure effective stakeholder alignment with senior leaders, including President BG EU, R&D Director EU, SC Director EU, MDs of 6 OpCos, MT OpCos, Commercial Director R&A, IPM Board, Procurement, and Factory leadership.
