JOB PURPOSE:

Ice Cream is undergoing a transformation to make a simpler, faster, and focused organization. This transformation will accelerate performance improvement and strengthen capabilities to deliver its strategic priorities. The Electrical Engineering Manager will be part of the team responsible to manage the Electrical Technical Authority framework and design, adopt, and deploy the technical leadership expertise to the BU organizations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Industrial Electrical Expertise
    Act as an expert in the industrial electrical discipline. Oversee electrical installations in ice cream factories, optimizing for cost and safety, leveraging creative solutions and AI technologies.

  • TA1 Electrical Installations
    Serve as Technical Authority 1 for the electrical discipline, setting and updating technical requirements and standards, endorsing key decisions, and maintaining the TA network. Responsibilities include:

    • Defining competence levels for TA2 and 3s, assessing and certifying candidates, and succession planning.
    • Custodianship of external standards and codes of practice, ensuring compliance with laws and regulations.
    • Developing and implementing engineering electrical design standards, equipment/system specifications for HV/LV, and electrical safety standards.
    • Supporting IT teams on ELV systems (Fire Alarm, Public Address, Voice & IT).
    • Monitoring and providing independent technical endorsement for operational risk assessments.
    • Providing final technical endorsement for deviations from technical/engineering standards.
    • Providing independent technical assurance by endorsing key deliverables or participating in project assurance reviews.
    • Participating in investigations of incidents, supporting safety audits, and updating safety standards.
    • Maintaining the network of electrical TAs and ensuring effective information transfer.
  • Global Technical Expert for Electrical Energy Efficiency
    Provide technical support to improve utilities, reduce energy consumption, and transition to regenerative energy sources. Support energy assessments and drive energy reduction programs.

  • Technical Gatekeeper for Capex Projects involving Electrical Installations
    Lead the design and development of electrical systems, evaluate and approve capital expenditure requests, and drive implementation of electrical projects across sites.

  • Supporting Sites in All Electrical Installations Related Questions
    Support new colleagues, integrate them into the technical network, and lead capability development and training for the engineering community.

  • Guiding on the Use of New Technologies and Components
    Lead continuous improvement by following regulations and introducing innovative technology solutions for safety, reliability, and efficiency.

  • Quality Assurance
    Ensure all engineering processes comply with safety and quality standards, conducting regular audits and reviews.

  • Budget Management
    Develop and manage project budgets, forecast resource needs, and control costs.

  • Others
    Support the development of digital solutions to optimize operations, roll out cost and energy optimization initiatives, and create a digital environment for operations and maintenance.

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED:

EXPERIENCES & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Master’s degree in electrical engineering or university degree.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical design principles and standards.
  • Collaborative team environment with a focus on innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Several years of experience as utilities manager in a factory operating an industrial refrigeration.
  • Prior experience in the Ice Cream category preferred.
  • Good understanding of global suppliers’ capabilities and networks.
  • Knowledge in digital tools and new technologies for electrical installations.
  • Good management, communication, and English language skills.
  • Travel as per job requirement.
