‘Traditional’ is not a term that generally applies to bol. However, we do have a tradition we’re very proud of: our drive to improve. What you'll do as a Product Manager Promotions

Promotions are a key lever in driving customer engagement and commercial success on bol. Whether it’s a flash deal, seasonal campaign, partner-driven offer, or a strategic price discount. The technical foundation behind promotions determines which products get highlighted, how labels are applied, and how customers perceive value. As Product Manager for the Promotions Engine team, you’ll be at the heart of this dynamic domain.

The Promotions Engine is part of bol’s core product organization. That means we don’t just sit in the consumer or partner seat, we enable both by building the foundational capabilities that power promotional visibility across the platform. You’ll act as a bridge between commercial strategy and technical execution.

You’ll lead a cross-functional product team focused on evolving the backend systems that determine promotional eligibility, apply labels, and orchestrate campaigns. Think of promo deals, seasonal campaigns, price discounts, and dynamic labeling.

This role requires a strong sense of ownership, a sharp eye for prioritization, and the ability to thrive in ambiguity. You’ll need to navigate trade-offs, explore contingencies, and drive progress even when the path isn’t fully clear. At bol, we believe in learning fast, failing smart, and improving every day.

In this role, you’ll:

  • Shape and communicate a compelling product vision for promotions technology.
  • Translate strategic goals and promotional policies into clear product objectives and roadmaps.
  • Manage a broad and engaged stakeholder field, aligning across commercial, legal, and operational teams.
  • Collaborate closely with your team and other product teams to discover opportunities and solve complex challenges.
  • Inspire and guide engineers to turn abstract ideas into scalable, high-performing backend solutions (90% backend, 10% frontend).
  • Drive internal enablement by building reusable components and services that accelerate other teams.
  • Embrace experimentation and learning, using data and feedback to refine and improve continuously.

  • Labs are scary places You have many enviable talents but lack an experimentation mindset.

  • Visionary You aren’t ‘just’ a product visionary; you know how to turn a vision into an actionable strategy and get teams and stakeholders on board.
  • Pole vaulting You raise the bar and are not afraid to take a giant leap in driving the team to new heights.
