As User Verification Team Lead, you’ll guide the people who are often the very first contact our users have with bunq. You'll build a focused, efficient, and empathetic team that gets shit done — making sure we always have our users' back.

Take ownership:

As a User Verification Team Lead, you’ll take charge of leading our onboarding agents to deliver speed, clarity, and care — every time.

Your key responsibilities:

• Lead, coach, and grow a team of onboarding agents who review personal and business approvals.
• Drive high performance with clear goals, structured processes, and a culture of accountability.
• Maintain our gold standard of speed — personal accounts verified within a day, business accounts in 5 minutes or less.
• Balance empathy with compliance — support honest users, stop dishonest ones.

What you’ll work on right away:

• Clear the personal approval backlog while maintaining fast and accurate verifications.
• Improve processes using AI to increase speed and reduce manual work.
• Set clear performance metrics and run coaching sessions to help agents excel.

Do you have what it takes?

• Proven leadership experience in User Verification or KYC/KYB environments — you’ve led teams and delivered results.
• Deep knowledge of KYC, KYB, and EDD — you know what good looks like and how to get there.
• Strong coaching and performance management skills — you build teams that thrive.
• High emotional intelligence — you lead with empathy and empower your team to do the same.
• Structured and decisive — you bring clarity, set direction, and take action.
• Tenacious and relentless — you don’t stop until the job is done.
• Comfortable using AI to improve speed and simplify processes.
