You will be part of the Transmission & Distribution team.

What are you going to do?

As T&D (Senior) Project Manager you will help Transmission & Distribution (T&D) companies in the Netherlands and abroad with their intended network expansions and reinforcements. You will work in a team with various disciplines. Because it is precisely by bringing together both process and various technical experience that we can accelerate our customers' projects. You are driven to make an impact and realize projects, and passionate about connecting your technical experience to experience in other fields.

Role accountabilities:

  • Project client liaison and internal coordination from initial contact through project delivery
  • Defining, contributing and/or delivering of Transmission & Distribution (T&D) projects throughout project lifecycle
  • Challenging, proposing, agreeing and implementing alternative solutions compared with those dictated by the T&D specifications, policies, processes and “best practices”.
  • Ensuring risks are proactively identified, assessed and managed to avoid adverse impacts on the project
  • Identifying and negotiating extra work options and/or possible claims
  • Adequate planning, control and reporting of project both internal & external

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Degree or relevant qualification in Electrical Engineering or Power Engineering (either BSc, MSc or PhD) or relevant T&D expertise build up during the career
  • Experience working as a substation and/or plant Project Manager / (Lead) Engineer to international and/or industry standards
  • Expertise of HV substation primary, control & protection and/or secondary equipment design deliverables, feasibility studies, reports, programs and cost estimates
  • Broad knowledge of Transmission & Distribution work field & technologies and familiar with international T&D standards, working methods and technical software tooling
  • Can demonstrate success in leading projects covering designing and/or delivering engineering safely to budget, time and quality that meets customer expectations
  • Solid proven project management and supportive tooling experience and familiar with contract, claim management and legal aspects
  • Proven ability of working with internal and external parties, e.g. equipment suppliers, manufacturers, service providers, professional bodies, and working within a strong international/diverse) team-working culture
  • Capable of communicating complex technical or commercial issues to peers or senior managers and stake holders
  • Experience in writing clear and concise offers, documentation and reports

Notes:

  • Dutch language (or learning it) is an advantage
  • T&D (Lead) Engineers and/or T&D Consultants who like to grow towards Project Manager are great candidates
  • Candidates with no T&D background but experience in technology and/or infrastructure driven projects are also invited
  • For the role of Senior Project Manager at least 10 year solid experience is asked
  • Working experience with European TSO and/or DSO is most welcome
  • You are pro-active, curious and of course fun to work with
