FOODS BUSINESS GROUP

Unilever’s Foods Business Group is a €13 bn business, which represents almost one quarter of Unilever's turnover. With a presence in almost every country in the world, our Foods products get chosen more than 2.5 billion times a year, with growth driven largely by our three power brands Knorr, Hellmann’s and Unilever Foods Solutions (UFS). The rest of our portfolio is made up of strong regional and local brands including Horlicks, Bango, Calve, Marmite and Red Label.

WHAT WILL YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES BE?

  • Support the implementation, and management of a comprehensive internal communications strategy for the Foods Business Group.
  • Organization of the internal communications editorial calendar, including creating and building content for our key internal communications channel, Foods Viva Engage Group.
  • Work with internal teams and external agencies to deliver multiple overlapping activities in a fast-paced environment, in particular the design and execution of our quarterly Foods Townhalls.
  • Project manage Foods C&CA pipeline of external storytelling on Unilever’s external channels (Unilever.com and social channels e.g. LinkedIn, Instagram), and support in identifying key owned media stories that ladder up to our Foods Strategy and power brands.
  • Create monthly content for Foods Business President LinkedIn handle.
  • Assist team in tracking expenses against department budget, and process purchase orders and reconcile within financial management system.
  • Help prepare presentations and reports for team activities as needed (e.g. quarterly Foods C&CA reports).

KEY REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, or related field.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in communications or marketing preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, and strong attention to detail.
  • Must be entrepreneurial, resourceful, highly organised and comfortable working in a small team environment where self-sufficiency is essential.
  • Able to work to tight deadlines and deliver under pressure.
  • Creative flair and ability to turn ideas into engaging and attention-grabbing content.
  • Microsoft Office Suite skills, especially PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook, as well as ability to design on-brand visual content using Canva.
  • Able to create and edit short-form videos.
  • Real team player, keeps a balance between personal accountability and delivery through teamwork.
  • Bias for action, shows accountability and responsibility and has a ‘can do’ attitude.
  • Desire for flawless execution.
  • Experience with SharePoint maintenance and administration preferred.
